Only stopped for 1 night and booked a falls view, fabulous!! Check in was quick and efficient and the concierge very helpful. Plenty of parking and location great. Just be careful you don't book into the wrong Marriot hotel like we did, there's is 2 right next to each other!!

The Marriott gateway Fallsview was a very nice hotel. The loft suite we had provided an exceptional view of the falls. The bed, bedding and room space were all very good. A couple of small issues. The pillows were cheap and very poor. The ceiling in our room had water damage in a few spots. The 4 elevators were challenged to meet the demand of the 31 floors. We had to wait many times and the trip down was very slow due to the numerous stops. The common areas were decent. Overall a very good experience due to the amazing view and the large space of our room. Parking was always easy to find on site (recommend the second level of the parking garage which always had space) cost $10 per day. Details are important and this hotel needs to work towards improving the repairs and small things that make a hotel experience memorable.

I have stayed at different hotels in Niagara Falls and have generally been very disappointed. The Marriott Gateway was a pleasant surprise. We booked the hotel through GroupOn Getaways. The room included breakfast, dinner and wine tasting coupons). The Buffet Breakfast was very good (omelette station, hot and cold items, pastries, fruit). All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially in the restaurant. My hotel room (city view) was spacious, clean and updated. The room had a newer flat screen TV and bar fridge. The hotel is right above the Falls (actually a little past the Falls, so you look down at the top of the Canadian Falls). There are rooms with a view of the Falls but there are also great views from the windows near the elevators on each floor. The restaurant also has a view of the Falls; however, it is on the Mezzanine so the view is obstructed a little. Internet is available for a fee in the rooms, although it is free in the lobby and business centre. Parking is available for a fee.

Failing grade. Service in General was amateur ..room wasn't ready at 1:30 pm ..not ready be 3:30 pm. and while access to a room was provide by 4 pm ..one of two double beds was found to be dirty. Carpet not vacuumed then pulling back the sheets I found food crumbs ..light shade on desk was stained. If I wasn't here for business by myself I would have refused the room...wouldn't bring jhs family here although gage view was amazing.

This hotel had done big renovation but I didn't see big of a difference. They still old TVs. Lobby floor wasn't very clean, may be it was a winter at that time. This hotel is a bit far from all the entertainment area at the falls.

For a premium room with a fireplace and a whirlpool spa is was sure small. There was a wall separating an extremely small sitting area overlooking the fall and the bedroom. The only way to see the falls from the bed was by sitting or standing up and looking though a glass panel they put in the wall. This hotel is dated and needs updating. Not worth the money.

Room Tip: Choose a high floor for a good view

The Marriott Gateway has many positives. We had originally got a city view room through Priceline for four people. Upon arrival we were able to upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite, falls view, on the 28th floor for $120. Check-in took 2 minutes. Very polite staff throughout this hotel. The room, although somewhat dated, was very comfortable with exquisite views. This Marriott is towards the end of Fallsview Blvd. and is much more peaceful but still within walking distance of everything. We ate at the breakfast buffet, which was unremarkable, but convenient. Parking was reasonably priced at $10. The only negative would be a total of four elevators with only two that went to the upper floors. However, I would highly recommend the upper floors for the magnificent view. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: This is the first time we ever went for the upgrade and it was so worth it!
