“Great stay”

Booked a package deal (high room, fireplace, king bed, jacuzzi) which included tickets to 3 wineries, buffet breakfast each day, and a voucher for the hotel restaurant. We were given a beautiful room (suite) on the 28th floor with floor to ceiling glass overlooking the falls, separate living room and bedroom as well as a huge bathroom with a shower and jacuzzi tub that could fit 2 people. This hotel is at the end of the row of hotels with views of the falls but I cannot imagine any other hotel having a better view than we had here.

The buffet breakfast had a lot of variety and the food was very good. We had a light dinner in the restaurant one night and the food was delicious. Unfortunately we had an incompetent (or uninterested waiter) and 2 inebriated women sitting in an adjoining booth who talked louder than any diners I have ever encountered in any restaurant EVER. Definitely put a damper on the evening but did not tarnish our opinion of our stay and the hotel in general.

The self park option was nice too.

Room Tip: Definitely request a high floor with a view of the falls. Worth the extra money!

We were on the 19th floor with a view of both American Falls and Horseshoe Falls. The room was a deluxe King. The bathroom had a whirlpool tub and a window so we could see the falls from the tub. We were not on our honeymoon but it would have been a great honeymoon suite. The pool was clean and warm enough that it may have been heated. The spa was great and also clean. Parking is $20.00 per day. We purchased the adventure pass that included Maid of the Mist, Journey behind the Falls, and two other attractions. It also came with a 2 day bus pass that we could ride anytime. One of the bus stops was right outside the hotel. I would definately stay here again. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a room facing the falls. Otherwise you will have a view of the city and that can...

This hotel was for a convention and was chosen by the organizers of the conference. It is a lovely hotel with a good view of the falls. It is a hike to walk to the falls, but there is transport by bus[for a fee].
We had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant with a terrific falls view and fireworks at 10 PM.
The room was large and very comfortable.
I would return.

Room Tip: Falls view would have been nice, but probably not wirth the extra cost

We stayed one night at this Marriott location and it was a comfortable and clean hotel. The hotel is in front of the falls with a great view. The staff was friendly and professional. The rooms and the public areas were clean and in an excellent state of repair. There is a Starbucks in the lobby, and if it is busy, there is a Starbucks at almost every intersection on the road out of the hotel. The restaurant on the second floor was very good for breakfast.

There is a refrigerator, but no in-room safe. There is also a complimentary coffee/tea machine. The bed was very comfortable. There was always at least one taxi in the queue at the front of the hotel. Internet service is complimentary for Marriott Gold and Platinum members in the room.
Parking is $20 per night. The best plan is to park the car and walk to the falls, since you will pay between $10-$20 to park near the falls and only save yourself a 20 minute walk.

During the summer, there is a fireworks display at 10:00pm over the falls on Friday and Sunday nights. You cannot see the show from the hotel. Your view is blocked by the other Marriott Hotel. You will need to walk down the street toward the American Falls to get a good view of the 5 minutes show.

Room Tip: Get a "falls view" room, not a "city view" room.

We stayed 5 days at this comfortable and clean hotel. Great location and price. The staff was friendly and courteous all the time. The restaurant and all the hotel amenities were spectacular. We are planning to visit Niagara Falls again in the near future....will definitely go back to this hotel.

I recently treated my two kids and 3 nephews to a two night stay at the Gateway. We had two Fallsview Rooms which did indeed deliver on the spectacular view. I was pleasantly surprised that they had connecting rooms available. Check in was a breeze. Everyone who worked for the hotel was very pleasant and informative. The lobby is nice with a decent bar and Starbucks. The room themselves were very comfortable and clean. The elevators are a tad slow but I have certainly seen worse. No free wifi was a bit of a bummer as was the service at breakfast. Food quality was good though. What I really liked about this hotel was that it was a bit away from the noisy area of Niagara but close enough if you wanted to indulge in some touristy activities. Would recommend and would stay again here.

Room Tip: The Fallsview Rooms are worth the extra money. On Friday nights in the summer, Niagara sets off Fire...

We stayed at this hotel for a recent wedding anniversary. We reserved a Fallsview Room with a Jacuzzi. On arrival I asked for a room on the upper floors if possible and mentioned it was an anniversary stay. Wound up on the 17th floor with a great view. We had stayed at this hotel back in 2008 when it was a Sheraton. We also stayed at the Marriott Spa that is right across the street. If I recall we were on the 10th floor with a Fallsview Room and fireplace at that hotel. Our room on this trip was in excellent shape . Jacuzzi worked great and as always at a Marriott, there were plenty of pillows. A reasonable walk to the falls. The incline across the street was out of service. When we were at the falls it looked like some major construction going on at the bottom. All in all, our stay was great. The only issue I had was with the air conditioning. The room was definitely cold enough with the temperature outside being 89 degrees. But the A/C was really loud and the solenoid on the liquid line had a really loud sixty cycle hum. Finally, I was surprised that it did not seem very crowded at all compared to our previous trips and I noticed a few restaurants were closed up. Down at the falls you could easily get next to the railing to get a look at the falls. In years past, you really had to work at getting close to the railing, especially right at the falls. Maybe now is a good time to visit.

Room Tip: Get a room as high as possible for a good view.
