“Great hotel! Just renovated!”
Reviewed May 21, 2011

My husband and I recently stayed at the Ramada for the third time and we had an excellent stay! The entire hotel was recently renovated and looks great. When we stayed before it wasnt renovated but now the transformation is amazing! The rooms were clean and the front desk service was great. We especially love the deals with the $40 dining voucher..The Keg is amazing. Thank you Ramada, we will be returning for sure!

We stayed at the Ramada 2 times recently... we stayed back in March during March break & again in May for Mother's Day weekend. This is a Clean nice hotel with a fabulous deal! The pkg we had included $45 at the Keg Steakhouse overlooking the falls (there is free valet parking there btw) & also included $20 gameplay at Dave & Busters for our teenage son. We had a slight complication with our reservation the stay in May but Tim at the front desk was Wonderful & we got a fabulous upgrade with a balcony room & hot tub! Unfortunately there was a slight problem with the hottub but we enjoyed soaking our feet & it was a bonus anyway seeing as we didn't expect the room upgrade! Super Clean hotel & room! Awesome Customer service & Fabulous pkg! We'd definately return!
Note: No wifi but we were able to get Doubletree's free wifi both stays.
Also parking is $12 per night but still gret price overall!

Room Tip: Travelzoo had awesome pkgs for this hotel

Booked a package for $70 a night (Friday night) that included a $45 voucher for the Keg and $20 Dave & Buster's card. Hard to complain at that price.

As others mentioned, the voucher does say $40 on it but the server at the Keg informed us, they take $40 off your bill so if you include the tax that would have been on the $40 it is $45. Not valid for alcohol though.

Room was very clean, newly renovated, did not have one complaint about the room. Room had an ironing board, iron, hair dryer and coffee maker. Room hallway was under construction but not awful.

Check in was fast, agents were fine - not friendly but not rude. Did not use pool but it looked nice. Did not eat at IHOP - which I think was open.

Location is great - 5 to 10 minute walk from Fallsview Casino and that area, about a 20 minute walk to Clifton Hill. We did take the shuttle and it was a bit late but not overly.

This was my second stay here in the last year. I am on their repeat customer mailing list so get offers for about $10/$15 less than they post on their site.

It was by far not the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in but it offers cleaniness and amazing value for a tourist town.

I reserved an overnight stay in a room with a king bed and whirlpool. Found a deal for $79/night which included a $45 voucher to the Keg (which ended up being only $40). Figured it was worth it. Not so much. Lets begin.

The check in was so unwelcoming. Just pulled up my reservation, immediately informed me of the $12 parking charge, handed me room pass cards and walked away. She didn't even tell me my room number.

The hotel is undergoing renovations. The room I booked was described as "newly renovated". My back side! First of all, the hallway and floor itself was disgusting. Ripped up carpet, torn up walls with flecks of spackle and dust all over. The room, out dated decor, old carpeting, old looking facilities. The room was so dysfunctional. There was no closet, not even a hanger to put your coat on. You just lay it on the one seater couch. No ironing board or anything, just bare bones. We discovered that there was no place to hang your towels after you use them, you just kind of have to leave them around. The whirlpool had 2 hairs in it. Great mood setter. Really small shower which was coupled intimately next to the toilet. The only thing new about the room was the tv, which took about 2 minutes to turn on (it goes through a long "loading up" process). We had a view of Stanley St., don't bother thinking you'll see the falls.

The "perks" were nice. Though we got a $40 Keg voucher instead of $45. Whatever. FYI, our Keg meal came up to about $90, so -$40 basically adds up to a "buy one get one free" deal. The shuttle service is pointless. Most things are located close to the hotel. We just drove to where we wanted to go instead of living life on 30 minute intervals of when the shuttle arrives. We also got an IHOP coupon to use at the "IHOP located in the lobby", which we discovered in the morning doesn't exist. It's being rebuilt as part of the renovations.

If it wasn't for the coupons this stay would have been an entire rite off. I won't be back.

My bf and I reserved the Valentine package. It advertised a bedroom with balcony plus jucuzzi, gift basket containing wine n chocolates, $45 meal voucher and free shuttle bus. Long story short, the staff wer complete liars and weren't helpful at all, we got a $40 voucher ( false advertising), the hotel is undergoing renovations and we weren't notified, the shuttle bus was 45 min late (not like the weather was terrible), and did I mention that the service was shorty!? never again!

The hotel itself is a bit run down, although as previous reviewers mentioned they are in the midst of renovations. Checking-in was a bit of a disaster and there was a huge line-up and only 1 person behind the counter. They seemed to be having an issue with checking one person in, and with no other staff around, it took forever to just get to the front of the line. Once at the counter, however, the staff were very pleasant.

With our reasonable $69 booking, we also got a $20 voucher to Dave and Busters, a free shuttle ticket per person and a $45 credit to the Keg which we used that evening. We were not advised of a parking fee when checking in, so our $69 deal turned into $100 with taxes and the added parking fee. I wasn't too impressed regarding this, however, they advised there was nothing they could do.

The rooms were so-so. Terrible lighting, issues with the heating/cooling, and awful lighting in the bathroom. It was impeccibly clean though. The sheets and pillows smelled a bit like chemicals, and we found when we awoke our skin was very irritated, so I'm guessing it would just be due to cheap laundry detergent.

The incentives made it worth it, however, I would likely not stay here again as there are other hotels that are within a close price range and are much nicer.
