Old Stone Inn Boutique Hotel
Ranked #30 of 128 Hotels in Niagara Falls
Reviewed July 18, 2007

Our family of five (three boys ages 4, 6, 8) stayed at the Old Stone Inn for a quick weekend trip to Niagara Falls. The hotel was wonderful! So much charm, character and class at a great price. We were about a 5-minute walk from the falls and Clifton Hill, but the hotel was on a quiet street. We had originally booked a hotel in the midst of Clifton Hill, but changed to the Old Stone Inn at the last minute after having seen it online. The Clifton Hill area is a frenzied, carnival-like atmosphere, and after having walked through it, I was SO GLAD that we had switched our reservation to the Old Stone Inn. The Old Stone Inn has an indoor pool and spa and an outdoor pool. The restaurant is fantastic, with good food, and very reasonable prices. Rooms were very graciously appointed, and extremely clean. If you're looking for a quaint hotel with class, choose the Old Stone Inn.

We loved how close it was to the Falls & all the attractions. We loved the atmosphere, the lobby, the food. We loved the second room we had. The first room was a pool room and we have stayed in Red Roof
Inns that we liked better than the pool room. Very plain, bare room with not enough light to read by. Our second room was in the main area of the Inn and was beautifully decorated with a comfortable bed & small gas fireplace. Even the bathroom fixtures were amazing. Don't get a pool room!!!

My boyfriend and I were searching for a less expensive hotel to stay while in Niagara Falls. We've been travelling every weekend to new destinations and Niagara was our last stop.
We hit the jackpot at the Old Stone Inn.
We must say that we were so amazed at our room. It was just beautiful and so very comfortable.
Location is excellent. A short walk to the falls and all that comes with them (museums, gambling, etc.)
Whenever I know anyone going to see the 'Falls', I tell them that they must stay here!

Only stayed one night but wish it had been longer.
Spacious comfortable room in a hotel near to all the activities and the 'Falls'.
If we return to the area, we will definately stay at this hotel.

My boyfriend and I stayed here in September 06 for 2 nights. There is a main 'strip' of restaurants, shops, amusements etc which we found slightly tacky (and I imagine very loud in high season) - luckily the Old Stone Inn is a block away from all that, on a much quieter road. This meant that we were still within walking distance from everything that we wanted to see and the falls were only a 5-10 minute walk away.
The Skylon Tower is also only across the road, if you want to go there.

The lobby of the hotel is done out really nicely and while the lady on reception was obviously very busy she was still polite and friendly to us. Our room was very spacious and clean with a nice comfortable bed. We also had a drink in the hotel bar one night which had lots of nice big comfy chairs.

If you want a big chain hotel with every amenity then this isn't the place for you, but if you prefer something a bit more intimate and personal then I would highly recommend the Old Stone Inn.

My husband ordered us a deluxe, two room suite complete with fireplace and jacuzzi. Wonderful location - very rustic with beautiful furniture. King size bed with tons of pillows - very cozy! Expensive but worth it. A couple of negatives - front desk staff were not the least bit friendly; lacked a small fridge; lighting was poor. Would definitely stay there again. A couple of short blocks to Fallsview Casino - far enough from the tourist crowd.

Booked our visit in early 2006. What a terrific find! A wonderful value. My family enjoyed the quiet location, easy parking & the short walks to all the local points of interest and activities. Staff was friendly & helpful, the 'standard double room' quite comfortable and pools, yes there are two - refreshing.
The place we'll stay on our next trip to Niagara Falls!
