Has a brilliant view of the falls- thats all you need to know. Literally sat looking out of the window for hours during a 3 day stay. Looking up at the many fallsview hotels from down at the falls, the Marriott has the best location and angles to get the best view.
We upgraded to a luxury room with jaccuzzi bath(from which you can see the falls) and fireplace- this is highly reccommended, but rates increase hugely at weekends, so beware.
Rooms very clean and comfortable, with very nice beds. You also get vouchers with the upgraded room for breakfast (very, very nice with big choice) and discounts at the restaurant. I must disagree with other reviewers regarding the restaurant- i found the food excellent and with the discount vouchers quite good value, especially if you book ahead and ask for a window table to view the falls.
I would rate this the best and most memorable hotel i've ever stayed at. The views are unbeatable, and the hotel itself faultless.
Don't park at the hotel (v. expensive), register online at the casino, where you can park for free and pick up your membership card which gets you out of the car park. Casino is 2 mins walk from hotel.

I strongly recommend this hotel for it's view of the falls, however there were some things to consider in booking. The hotel does not tell you that a number of their rooms have limited views of the two falls due to a structural wing wall that blocks the view of the American Falls and the fireworks. Those are rooms from about the 18th floor and below with rooms numbered XX15, XX16 and possibly XX17. Also rooms below the 18th floor tend to look across the top of the Canadian falls rather than down into it. That aside we had two rooms 1621 and 1524 which we quite enjoyed. The view was good enough my 12 year old grandson never turned on the TV in two days.

NOTE: The price for hotel parking is the same for Valet as self-park so go valet. The actual lot is a couple of blocks from the hotel.

The valet service was impeccable as was the bell man who transported 7 bags, a large cooler and a case of wine to the rooms.

Check-in went smoothly until we found one room (1516) had the blocked view. Downstairs and after a spirited discussion between my wife and the desk clerk we were charged an additional $60/night for a better room. THEN were told the 12 year old would be charged as an adult. Back up to the room to pick up the internet confirmation paperwork and back to the front desk. After my wife asked for the manager, the desk clerk compensated us for the mix-up by providing five free breakfasts and no charge for parking. Thus the additional $120 + 15% taxes were more than covered by the free meals and parking.

NOTE: Bring your confirmation paperwork. It can prove valuable.

The room cleaning staff were exemplary and provided extra coffee and amenities. Even let my 12 year old grandson look at the falls from a room on the 23 floor. He reported it to be truly spectacular.

NOTE: Mixed drinks in the lounge bar are $10 each so drink slowly.

We dined in restaurants around the city rather than at the hotel. I will post reviews on the ones we visited.

NOTE: There are no stairs down to the falls from this hotel. You either take the incline tram (for a price) or walk to Murrey St. which is a short 5 to 10 minute walk.

Brought my Mom to the Mariott Fallsview for a mid-week mini break and was not disappointed. Even though the hotel was incredibly busy, the line at check-in moved quickly and the staff were incredibly friendly. Room was well-appointed with two comfortable Queen sized beds and a large bathroom. We used one arm chair and a second comfortable desk chair to sit by the huge picture window and watch the falls. Comparable only to Santorini -- really spectacular! At dusk, the falls are lit up and at 10 p.m. on the night we were there, there were some fireworks to enjoy. Casino is just down the street but my Mom has some mobility issues, so we caught a taxi for $5 each way, rather than retrieve our car from the parking area. The hotel (and Niagara Falls in general) is priced for tourists (paid $4 for a bottle of water in the gift shop) so I'd advise you to get out of the centre of town a bit and buy your treats at a convenience store. We did a bit of shopping at the Outlet Mall on Lundy's Lane and found a few bargains. The Denny's next door to Lundy's Lane promises the lowest prices of any Denny's in Niagara Falls. Popular dining spot for Seniors -- they have an over 55 menu.

After a long flight from the UK and bus transfer you want your hotel room to be everything the web site photographs promised, and the Marriott delivered. The views were as good as you could possibly hope for. We spent the first night sitting in armchairs watching the light show. But be careful when booking, not all hotel rooms given these great views. We booked the deluxe fallsview 2 night package. This is a good value as the breakfasts and a $75 meal voucher are included and are a must to offset the over priced restaurant. Not a cheap hotel or package but if you want a top niagara experience it was worth it.

Stayed here for two nights during a tour of Canada's east coast.

After reading other reviews of Niagara, we knew we didn't want to see the 'other' attractions on Clifton Hill, and we were really pleased with the area. The Marriott is at the end of Fallsview road, so very quiet, even though the Casino and it's very nice shopping mall is about a 5 min walk downhill. There are also other hotels and restaurants within a 5 min walk, so you are not confined to eating at the Marriott.

We had a 2 storey room - king bed and bathroom upstairs, double sofa bed and rollaway downstairs. Desk, 2 TV's, a couple of armchairs and tables and the most amazing view!!! The windows were huge so we had great views from everywhere in the room. Upstairs, there was a jacuzzi bath where you could watch the falls from the bath! We also had a fireplace in the room.

Hotel had a Starbucks in the lobby, but we didn't eat in the hotel, used the Outback Steakhouse ( 2 min walk) for meals in the evening.

Pool had a line of scum on the tiles, and the hot tub actually had scum floating on the water. Not too attractive! Towels were available at poolside.

Walked to MoM in the morning. Took about 20 mins, but we were stopping to admire all the black squirrels - we don't have them in the U.K. Walked back along the river to do Journey Behind the Falls. Didn't have to queue for either of them, and then took the incline up to the Fallsview area where we had an all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast at the Renaissance for $9.95.

We were very pleased with how quiet the area was around the Marriott, and also at night, we didn't hear any other noise, even though the hotel was obviously very busy. We loved the hotel and all the staff we came into contact with.

I stayed at the Marriott Falls view with my girlfriend and we loved it. The view from our room was near perfect, I don't think we could have asked for a better view to be honest. The staff was very courteous, the food in the hotel was great... a bit pricey, but good quality. The only thing that was a bit stressful was the Canadian vs. US fee's. The hotel kept charging me Canadian fee's even though I told them repeatedly I was paying US cash. Then they tried charging me 14% tax on the Canadian fee even though I'm paying the US fee in American CASH. After arguing with the staff for a bit they eventually did the right thing and even took off the parking fee which is $23 a day. So would I stay here again, absolutely... BUT I will make sure to get all of the fee's and taxes upfront before even reserving the room.

We are Marriott Rewards members, so we used our points for first night - "city view" room - we were pleased to be on 5th floor w/ a partial view of the Horseshoe Falls. There was a mix up at check in and it was chaotic at the desk, but our great Bellman, Rick, marched us back to an asst. mngr. and told them we got the wrong room. Quckly straightened out. Fairly quiet and lrg. room. Next morning, I went to desk to inquire about our reservation for a "full fallsview" room. We got a n/c upgrade to the 19th floor. Allowed to transfer immediately (at 11:30 AM no wait til check-in.) The almost cormer room (#1928) was smaller than the first one, but the view was supreme -watched the fireworks in awe. Got what we paid for with that view!
Breakfast Buffet at Terrapin was really overpriced, crowded and average. Don't do it! Use the mini-bar refridge. for your own bev./snacks.We did this on 2nd morning. Had cont. breakfast we brought to the room. Parking is crazy -crowded, cars stuffed in the driveway entrance all the time Valet told us the parking lot is a block away so they have to run back & forth to get/move cars. We took cab to Clifton Hill - $6.00 one way but fast. Service from concierge was lame bcause they push their own tour. We did fine on our own. We saw huge increase in crowds on Sat. so glad we did MoM, Clifton Hill on Fri.
**This is an average Marriott in terms of rooms, food, and service. You are paying for the view but you will get a great one! Fallsview casino and incline railway are a short walk. Casino has some decent restaurants around it and lots of average restaurant chains right there, too.
