Great views of the Falls -- would definitely recommend paying up to get a view (otherwise there really isn't a point to staying at this hotel). The property is at the southern end -- about 1 - 1.5 mile south of Clifton Hills.
Expensive but justifiable given the view and the touristy nature of the area.
$20 to valet park -- no self parking. Don't think there're other options. There is a bunch of $5 parking lots between the Marriott and Clifton but it's probably a 1/2 mile walk + in open lots.
Rooms are good sized and very clean.
Received 10-page fax -- charged $4.50. $9.95 daily internet charge.
A lot of nickel and diming but can't imagine it's unique to this property.
Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Note: there's a 10%+ tax on everything so things can really add up very fast.

Recommend Peller Estates for wine tour. Inniskillin was ok but little impersonal. Peller property is much more beautiful and the tour more intimate and the Juan the guide more knowledgeable so it seemed.

Butterfly Conservatory is ok but didn't think it was worth the admissions price. Unless you have teenage kids, don't go to the Fallsview Indoor Waterpark. All in cost per person was $60 including the $18 parking. Not that it was expensive per se but not a lot of rides.

Do the Cave of the Winds (US side) -- absolutely thrilling -- better than the Maid of the Mist (good). Do Niagara on the Lake (wonderfully charming town 1/2 hr north of Niagara Falls). African Lion Safari was good but go early (1.5 hrs) to maximize time there. Again pricey but well set up.

I absolutely loved this hotel. My in-laws were visiting from Australia and wanted to go see the falls. We booked here bascially because of the price savings of the 2 bedroom suite compared to booking 2 separate rooms or 2 bedroom suites elsewhere. We had basically 2 full hotel rooms, 1 with fallsview and 2 queen beds, 1 with river view and a king bed. The view was unbeatable. My in-laws were floored when we entered the room and spent every night sitting in the chairs admiring the views.
The location is great, right by the lift that takes you down to the falls. It costs $1 per person, or free if you purchase the Niagara Adventure Pass, which was a great value.
The walk down is a little further, but not bad.
The one complaint I would have is the cost of parking, I should have self-parked at the casino next tour for $10 a day instead of $25 or 30 at the hotel. The casino is right next door, a 2 minute walk. And there were some GREAT resturants in the casino, I was glad it was so close.
Everyone was friendly. There were 2 individuals at the tour desk, one was a younger female, the other was older. The younger one was not as informed w/ the tours and area information, but the older woman was wonderfully informed and helpful. We did do the winery tour and had a great time.
I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the niagara falls area.

I would have recommended this hotel to readers except for the fact that we feel we were ripped off by the Niagara package which we were sold in the hotel lobby. We paid about $135 for the day trip and it included access to most of the sites that are worth seeing in the area. HOWEVER, if you go down to the building right next to the falls which you can see from the hotel you can buy a similar package for about half the cost $65. In the hotel package you get free use of a shuttle bus but this only goes as far as the old casino and was infrequent. The other package allows 2 day access to the shuttle buses which run up and down the main road and as far as the top end of Niagara where the butterfly house etc is. You also DON'T get free rides on the tram which runs up and down the hillside (which costs $2 a pop one-way) but you do get this for free if you buy the cheaper package. We were also told we would get priority access and because it was August there would be huge queues. DON'T BELIEVE THEM! There were no queues when we turned up for any of the featured attractions. So effectively there was no need for priority access. The only thing we queued for was the tram up the hillside - which we didn't have priority access to!!!! Very frustrating. The tour guide was a rather dry humoured ex-headmaster but very good at his job. However, there was a huge sign on the front of the bus effectively saying that the drivers relied on a 20% tip for their wages! Talk about emotional blackmail. I know it is a tipping culture in Canada and the US but we had already forked out over the odds for the trip.
When we complained we were told that priority access was a key selling point. Also we had to wait until 2 days later when the manager returned to complain. He said we could complain to the hotel at first (but the tour is run by a different company to the hotel so don't fall for that one). In the end he offered us a small discount but this was only the rate that they offered for group parties anyway - so in effect he didn't deal with our complaint. I explained that I would be writing a review on trip advisor and that they may lose customers over this but the manager just shrugged it off and didn’t seem to care.
What a shame because we thought that the hotel was excellent and had unbeatable views of falls.

Word of advice, book a higher floor room with the whirlpool. The view is mesmerizing and you'll be staring out your window at all hours of the day. The whirlpool is new (not grimy and old) and is well suited for two people. We booked the king room/fireplace/whirlpool, so there is a difference in price, but unless you are staying for more than two days, its worth it. The valet parking is $20.00 a day (plus tips to get your car in and out) and they even charge for local phone calls (about 1.50 per call) but these are things that come with the territory. Expect the extra costs, and then relax and enjoy the benefits of the place. Would come again for sure.

Stayed here for a few nights in January and have to say the view from my room over niagara falls was amazing, loved the falls even more the second time around.

Hotel was nice and room was a good size, the breakfast buffet is nice and its a good idea to arrive early as it was even busy in the winter time, I would have to say the only thing I was not impressed with was the waiters who expect a tip for basically nothing, as they only serve you toast and the rest you get yourself as its a buffet. The food is good but the minibar in the rooms are way over priced.

Overall Hotel is worth staying in if you get a good rate.
