This is the second time that I have stayed at this hotel. The location is fantastic as it has the best view of any hotel. It is a short / easy walk to the Fallsview Casino and shops, while in season you can take the incline to the falls. The service is great and extremely friendly. The only complaint is the food at the in-house restaurant which is average and over priced.

I am pained to give a so-so review for this hotel because the people were so nice and the views of the falls were as good as are available. But the rooms look like they were decorated inexpensively in the early 1990's and haven't been updated since then. Bathrooms and bath products are nice and do seem to have been recently renovated.

Room service menu is limited and food is not great; TV's are small; no wireless internet; regular rooms are TINY; junior presidential suites are the size of a regular hotel room elsewhere. Needs a massive renovation of everything but the staff, who are super-nice.

A family hot-spot; lots of children.

The hotel overall is very nice. My wife and I travel alot and are not too hard to please. All we look for is cleanliness and a comfy bed. We sort of found it here.

Here are the downsides to this hotel--
When we first checked in, the clerk was mumbling so bad I couldn't understand a word he said. I'm 31 years old and not hard of hearing. I found this to be a bot annoying.

The room was overall very nice with a great view of the falls. I found it odd that there was only one small chair in front of the window to sit and view the falls. Was my wife supposed to sit on the floor or was I? Our friends that stayed in the room next door had two chairs and an end-table.

Now comes the worst part....While trying to sleep, the room was about 85 degrees. Very hot and sticky. After numerous times fumbling with the thermostat, it was still hot. I opened the window and we were still hot. This was in March, in Canda, 500 feet away from the falls.

The bed was hard and we both woke up with stiff backs.

If I hadn't done my research on this room before checking in, I would've been furious about the "fireplace". I knew what to expect, but it didn't even look remotely real. The website advertises a "fireplace room" which I could see as being misleading to some.

I wanted to voice my frustrations in the morning with the temperature problem, but the lobby was a zoo at checkout time. This is low season and surprised me. We decided to so the automated check-out and left.

Oh, and the fees that they tack on to the bill----Room was 219.00, fee here, fee there, BAM 289.00 total.

Overall a disapointing experience. We've stayed at many Marriotts over the years and never had a single complaint. This one was a let-down.

We had a long day driving from Woodstock Vermont and a long wait for the bridge so we were tired and a bit fed up when we got there but it was like entering a really welcoming environ The valet parkers were nice and the guy on reception so welcoming it was just what we needed. And when he said he could upgrade our room for 40$ per night and showed us up to this lovely suite with jacuzzi and all we thought we were in heaven until we looked out of the huge window and then we knew we were. Couldn't fault this place it was terrific

We stayed in this Marriott during the winter season, and the view from the window of the Horseshoe and American Falls were simply fantastic. Great views during the day, and a couple of hours of the colourising light show every night.

The room itself was spacious and fairly pristine, with "almost" floor-to-ceiling windows . The tv had a low picture quality (very noisy banded image) which included the nifty ability to review your bill on screen. The room featured a large 2 person whirpool tub, with doors that open to a view of the falls through the bedroom.

The views make the price worthwhile buy you have to prepared to accept that absolutely everything in the Marriott is geared up to extract as much money from you as possible, from the internet access at $9.95+tax p/24h, to the obligatory valet parking at $20+tax p/n to the 'complimentary' $9.95 bottles of water on the desk (which we were erroneously charged for despite not having touched, a mistake that the staff were happy to rectify). The wait-staff were over-personal for my taste, but this is probably a cultural thing in anticipation of maximum tipping.

The staff were nothing short of overwhelmingly pleasant and polite, and the service was very good at all levels.

For a first stay at Niagara Falls I honestly couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough if only for the views, but for any return visits you might want to watch your pocket.

Overall, this was a lovely hotel in a spectaclar location. The staff was attentive and attended to every detail. The beds fluffy and comfortable with lots of pillows. Our room was pristinely clean and featured a spectacular view of the Canadian falls. Noise from neighboring rooms was not an issue, since we visited during the winter. We upgraded for a small fee to a suite with a small sitting area and gas fireplace.

We purchased the Kids Love Niagara package, which included coupons for free breakfasts at the in-house restaurant, a $75 coupon towards dinner, a bag of popcorn, a free in-room movie, tokens for the hotel arcade, and tickets to a local show and the Skywheel. It was a good value for the items -- as well as convenient to have all of the tickets handed to you upon arrival.

We enjoyed all of the activities in our package, but our meals at the Terrapin Grille were just average. At dinner, the red pepper and tomato soup tasted like pasta sauce, the lobster was overcooked and rubbery, and the chicken was undercooked with a tasteless mush of a filling. Service was excellent and the view unbeatable, so we simply enjoyed our conversation and skipped dessert. The breakfast buffet was mediocre. The fruit was bitter and out of season, pastries were unimpressive. Only the fresh omelette station was worth visiting; however, it's an expensive brunch ($50 for a family of three) for a plate of eggs.

Valet parking was required on-site, which was slightly inconvenient (you need to call 15 minutes ahead to have your car brought from a nearby location), as well as pricey ($20 a day). WiFi was also an additional daily charge; however, as Gold Members, the fee was waived.

Overall, I would stay again, but skip the package and buy meals elsewhere.

Yes prices are high, but that is status quo for Niagara Falls. Competitively speaking, I’m not sure you can beat the Fallsview Marriott Hotel and Spa for hotel stay with great views (horseshoe falls right out of the window), location (close to area attractions) and restaurant (food was excellent).
