“Great View”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2014

A Very Good Hotel. Was there with the wife for our 25th Wedding Anniversary.
First the positives:
1. Get a room with a Falls View. That in itself makes it all worthwhile.
2. Marriot treated us great. I am a gold member and own a premium rewards card. I had called ahead and indicated that it was our 25th Wedding Anniversary and could we have a room on a higher floor. We had booked a package with some credits. Even though they made no promises when we arrived, Marriot gave us an upgraded room with additional credits.
3. The room was spacious and the Whirlpool is a nice touch. Rooms were clean.
4. Front desk staff was very effecient and friendly/helpful.
5. Ate at the restaurant. Pricey but very good.

The negatives:
1. Still have to pay for wifi. That seems to be the major complaint from most of the people that write reviews
2. Parking is expensive. I read the reviews that you can park at the casino for a cheaper rate. I really didn't want to bother movig the car once I got there.
3. We arrived on a Sunday night around 07:00 PM Eastern and we could not find Bell Staff to help us with luggage. However, we had no problems when we were leaving
It was for the above reasons that I did not give this an excellent review. Some may feel that is being pickey. However, i would very strongly suggest that if you can afford the hotel I would stay here. It is was all worth it in the end.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a Falls view. The higher the floor the better. Be ready for Canadian taxes. Exp...

Wonderful and exciting family trip! We enjoyed seeing the sites and the falls were beautiful. It was great having a Starbucks right in the lobby. Bring a lot of money with you because it is a very expensive place to visit..

We just came back from our stay at this hotel. The absolute best tip I got from TripAdvisor was to park at the casino. Parking at the hotel is $35 per day. Parking at the casino which is a short walk away is $5. It is not $5 per day. It is $5 until you exit. If you park for four days and don't use your car, it costs $5. If you take your car out once every day, it will be $5 per day. We stayed on the 19th floor, Room 1926, and had an amazing view.

Well situated at a quiet part of town,a beautiful walk to the center of the city or down to the river and the spectacular falls.....The room was very comfortable, but of course.....the view..incredible...you just could sit there and enjoy that panoramiic vieuw of the falls. But what we liked a little less was:$6.95 for a bottle of water,$9.00 for a Coors light,30$a day for parking and it can take up to 30 minutes before you get your car.....and you had to pay for WIfi in the room..and that was a first for us.But all in all we had a good time.

Room Tip: Try for a room on a floor above the falls for a good view. 6th floor and above.

Visited with my 10 y/o for a single night.

Easy to find, check in was a breeze, and the staff was very friendly. View from the 15th floor is awesome.

The staff sorted out an issue that made a big difference to me: I had purchased a package on line that included a $40 discount for dinner at the main restaurant here. At the restaurant, however, the staff pointed out that the discount required the purchase of two adult entrees. There was no such specificity on line. Since I was traveling with my young son, we weren't going to get two adult entrees.

The front desk staff sorted it out and made the proper adjustment to the bill.

It would be best for all if the website and hotel had the same view on the offering.

This hotel has the closest view of the Horseshoe falls so if this is what you are after, book it! Other hotels claimed to have fallsviews, and some did, but not like this place. You pay a premium for this but if this is a special occasion like it was for us, why not get the best view. The room was very nice. We had a comfortable king bed with a two person Jacuzzi tub. We bought some bubble bath as a local drug store, and beer at the "beer store". Convenience stores and grocery stores don't sell beer or wine in Ontario so you have to go to "the beer store" on Lundy's Lane or other locations or go to a LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) store. Weird I know but that's how they roll in Ontario. LCBO's also have hard liquor if you want that. Drinking and gambling age is 19!
Don't park at the hotel!!! They want $35 a day for slow valet. Park at the Fallsview Casino two blocks away for $5 a day as long as you get a free players club inside the casino. (No gambling required). Only one person needs a card. The easy way to this hotel from the casino is to take the elevator from the casino/ hotel parking garage to the lobby/ casino level (get your players card), and exit through the galleria which is the shops. Go down the escalator to the food court and walk straight out the back doors, enjoy the views of the falls, and turn right. Pass the buses, downhill tram, and take the walkway bridge across the street to the back door of the hotel. The door is on the lobby level so just walk past the gift shop to the registration desk! We saved $120 by parking at the casino and so should you!
The pool and 2 hot tubs were nice and we enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant on the MZ level. The staff were very courteous so we had a nice visit. My only complaints are the high parking costs, no free Wi-Fi in the rooms, and the expensive activities pass they were selling in the lobby. It's better to buy the pass for $49 down at the falls. Take the downhill tram directly to the welcome center at the falls and get the pass! We did all but one of the activities so it was well worth it. Take the green line bus to the Niagara Glen nature area to hike and to the floral clock. These were two of our highlights. The other highlights were the falls, bike ride to Niagara on the lake, and the city of Niagara on the lake. Don't miss visiting this beautiful town for shopping, eating, and Fort George. Get your souvenirs at the OK shop across the street from the hotel. Enjoy!

Room Tip: High up on the falls side is best!

A great escape to the frozen North's beauty of Niagara Falls, staying at the marvelous Marriott Fallsview Hotel. I know . . . I know . . . why go "north" in the middle of winter? Still, why not? It was cold, but the Falls were still spectacular with all their majesty and the beauty of the ice as well. Also, many hotels, as this one, offer wonderful "off season" specials. We were on the 17th floor with an outstanding view of the Falls; in our room, two overstuffed chairs sat in front of the window, as we opened the curtains in our room, there was Niagara Falls right below us. The room was big, clean and quiet. The property is normally expensive to stay on at about $300 to $400 a night; however, on our "off season" special, we paid less than $200 a night for a "premium fallsview" room with a king-size bed and a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. Our "off season" special also gave us coupons for breakfast and dinner daily as well as wine tastings at the hotel; their food and service at the Terrapin Grill was exceptional. We ate leasurely, enjoying the beauty of the falls area, and were never rushed. The weather was cold, but we enjoyed the view from the room, and still walked to the Falls and Visitor Center. All in all, this Marriott hotel is a superb hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. If you want a "special stay," off season or not, this is the place for you!

Room Tip: To my knowledge, all rooms at this hotel face the falls, mid to higher floor rooms offer a more dyna...
