“Magnificent view of Niagara Falls in the comfort of a hotel room”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

Lovely hotel with super service. Had a wonderful room on the 15th floor with an incredible view of both the Canadian and American Falls. The room had two comfortable chairs positioned next to the picture window to relax and watch the falls.
Only issue was no free Internet in rooms. This is silly in this day.
The town was not a place for foodies, however.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a Falls View room. Well worth the extra cost.

My wife and I spent the night of June 30th at the Fallsview Hotel. As soon as we opened the door and saw the Falls through the window we fell in love with this hotel. We were on the 19th floor and had a King size bed, Jacuzzi and fireplace. Fantastic clean room. Who needs a TV when you can sit by the window with a glass of wine and watch the falls below. The service was great and the staff were fantastic. We will be back for sure. As an added feature the fireworks at night and the falls lights were great

Room Tip: High and with a falls view

we started at this hotel for the view. We were even upgraded to a suite. The furniture felt usedz and needed to be updated. The indoor pool was nice and you could keep an eye on the kids from the fitness center, The outdoor patio lacked the view because the trees covered the falls. But we liked the steam room and sauna. There were a lot of extra fees. Parking was off site so if you needed something out of you car, you had to wait and keep tipping the valet. The Sheraton had on site parking which was $10 cheaper than valet at the Marriot. Even the water bottles in the room were about $6.00. The Sheraton offered complimentary bottled water. The wifi was free only in the lobby. Fir the room you had to pay $9.99 for the entire stay. The location was not very convientient. We spent a lot of time taking the bus to the other side of town where maid of the mist and clifton hill was located. Returning to the hotel at night was long. We waited 45 minutes for the bus and never really saw a taxi go by. After the second day we checked out and switched to the Sheraton. it was much more closer for our needs. Oh remembe to check the rates for each night you stay. We jumped from $199 a night to $259 and didnt even know it. Each night was a different price. I assumed the rates were fixed. Never assume.

Room Tip: know the price of each night.

Excellent hotel! So we were arriving late due to the usual united airlines delays however they kept our rooms. But as it was our mother's birthday (Hence reasons for the trip) they upgraded us for free to an absolutely amazing room! Apparently this is relatively common according to the bell staff.
The room itself was excellent quality- also there was a lot less sense of paying for everything as opposed to the USA (ie: your could actually access the bar fridge without incurring a 20 charge)
Gym was very well equipped (and I was very pleased with the pool area too).
Staff were awesome and hotel is relatively well located however us uphill so would suggest getting a cab back if you've had a long day and aren't interested in walking back uphill.

Now for the views! Amazing! I'll try and upload some photos but to say it was breathtaking was an understatement!

Room Tip: Ask for as high as possible- all rooms are designed for an awesome view.

We stayed a couple of nights in June and, although we'd booked a Standard room, we were offered an upgrade to a suite on the 22nd floor for just an additional $25 per night. We had a huge King bed, jacuzzi and a sitting area with a fireplace and picture windows looking directly down onto Horseshoe Falls. Magic! The breakfasts were excellent - great choices and everything freshly prepared. Their restaurant is also excellent and, with our upgrade, we were given a $40 voucher which covered the wine. Not bad, eh?

First impressions when we got to the room was great - what a great view. We did pay a little extra for a "superior view" and we were well rewarded. The rooms are somewhat dated however were clean and completely comfortable. The restaurant was fine however the brochure may have been a little misleading as there are a very limited number of tables with the sort of view they displayed. It did strike me as odd that the restaurant was on the lower floor while a mid to high floor would have truly made for spectacular dining. Fireworks over the falls every Friday and Sunday night - being there on a Sunday meant we saw the foreworks and it was great so strongly recommended.
