“Great hotel, exceptional value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2009

This hotel is spotless. The rooms are large and comfortable. Those who are taking advantage of the packages get the best value. Dinner at the Skylon, dinner at the hotel's own restaurant, two full breakfasts cost only $398.00 per couple for two days. This cannot be beat in Niagara at peak season. Ample parking is free. There are two pools and a whirlpool. Staff are very friendly. The hotel restaurant served great prime rib. You can go elsewhere an pay a lot more and not be treated as well.

We arrived at the Holiday Inn 1/2 an hour before check in. They said it would be another 2 hours to clean our room due to party damage. We than got to put our things in our room while they were cleaning it, and the cleaning staff were having a social session on our beds! We than saw how small our room was. So i than asked for an upgrade. At first they wanted us to get the "honeymoon suite" with the king bed and heart shaped hot tub. It was $60 more. I than said no, so we got a family suite.
The pool was okay, it looked kind of grimy but the lobby was very nice. It was close to the American falls, but a bit of a walk to Clifton Hill and the Canadian falls.

this hotel is basic but clean. the location is the best part. right in the middle of everything. Also a bonus was the free parking.

An older building but recently renovated. Rooms were newly done with new furniture, bedding and bathroom. A bit plain looking room would be only minor complaint. Other then that, very clean and very spacious. Bathroom and wash area are large, clean and very nice looking. Pool - nothing fancy but clean and served the purpose. More than satisfied with this hotel. We were not looking for 5star luxury and we were in niagara to experience the falls and atractions. We basically wanted clean, comfortable, affordable and good location and we very much recieved all four. This H.I. was just perfect to serve that purpose and very much exceeded our expectations.
Location - just perfect, is in the newer high rise section just a short walk to the falls. In fact it was about as short a walk as any and shorter than most. Across the parking lot (which is free for guests and never had a problem) is the skyline tower and an i-max theater. Across the street is the new high rise fallsview casino/hotel.
Other info- The falls are fantastic and a must see if you can get away for few days. The atractions are great. Maid of the mist is a must. Really fun and kids had a ball. Journey behind the falls is another good one. The river, the water and the area just all so nice to experience. 3D and 4D movies about the falls, Skyline tower, and several other things all fun to do.
A family of four. We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely look foward to another stay in this H.I. again.

We went to the Falls on the Canada side and got there very late at night. But once we got there the staff was very friendly and helpful, I think the key is to ask for a room that is not in the courtyard (that's where they put the noisy ppl). You have to pay a little bit more but it's really not much and it's very worth it. The rooms were very clean and the hotel very close to everything! once we parked the car we walked everywhere. There is a $10 parking fee per night but all the hotels in that area have a charge for parking. Overall our experience was good we only stayed there one night , but would def. stay again.

We stayed here over the weekend for a mini-vacation. The hotel was very nice and well appointed. We had looked at other hotels in the same area and they were twice as expensive as here. Granted, we did not have a falls view, but we were actually a shorter walking distance to the falls than those other hotels since this hotel is on the road that leads to the falls. The falls are a quick walk down the hill. Also, parking here was free, another big plus with other hotels charging $10 a night. This hotel has a great location and offers a great room for a reasonable amount of money.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn over Memorial weekend. The hotel was a great choice for location as everything was within comfortable walking distance. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, beds were comfortable. We ate lunch in the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious. The pool was not up and running just yet, and the kids were a little disappointed about that. The only bad thing, as others have noted, was the parking. We were not aware of the parking situation until returning at night to find no spots available close to the hotel. We had to park in the front and ask about this at the desk, and that's when we were told to pull into the "pay" parking lot and show our parking pass. This is a small inconvenience, and it would have helped had they told us about the parking situation in advance. It's a little irritating to not be able to park close to the the place we were staying. But, that aside, we had a wonderful time and this hotel was a good choice for the price.
