Holiday Inn Niagara Falls - By The Falls

We went to the Falls on the Canada side and got there very late at night. But once we got there the staff was very friendly and helpful, I think the key is to ask for a room that is not in the courtyard (that's where they put the noisy ppl). You have to pay a little bit more but it's really not much and it's very worth it. The rooms were very clean and the hotel very close to everything! once we parked the car we walked everywhere. There is a $10 parking fee per night but all the hotels in that area have a charge for parking. Overall our experience was good we only stayed there one night , but would def. stay again.

We stayed here over the weekend for a mini-vacation. The hotel was very nice and well appointed. We had looked at other hotels in the same area and they were twice as expensive as here. Granted, we did not have a falls view, but we were actually a shorter walking distance to the falls than those other hotels since this hotel is on the road that leads to the falls. The falls are a quick walk down the hill. Also, parking here was free, another big plus with other hotels charging $10 a night. This hotel has a great location and offers a great room for a reasonable amount of money.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn over Memorial weekend. The hotel was a great choice for location as everything was within comfortable walking distance. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, beds were comfortable. We ate lunch in the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious. The pool was not up and running just yet, and the kids were a little disappointed about that. The only bad thing, as others have noted, was the parking. We were not aware of the parking situation until returning at night to find no spots available close to the hotel. We had to park in the front and ask about this at the desk, and that's when we were told to pull into the "pay" parking lot and show our parking pass. This is a small inconvenience, and it would have helped had they told us about the parking situation in advance. It's a little irritating to not be able to park close to the the place we were staying. But, that aside, we had a wonderful time and this hotel was a good choice for the price.

The hotel has a very convenient location off of a street that is perhaps a five minute walk to the American Falls. I felt that we got a good value for the location and would gladly stay here again. The only downside is that parking is a mess. There is a parking area behind the hotel - this is also used as parking for non-hotel guests, but they give you pass to display on your car so you do not need to pay for the lot. It is a very large lot and I had to park a very significant distance from the hotel.

In addition to the room the hot tub was fantastic and the attached restaurant had a decent atmosphere.

upgraded to jacuzzi suite as loyalty card member, room was large and bathroom was huge.

Staff were really helpful and maid service prompt.

Swimming pool was a little on the chilly side but the hot tub was good and warm.

never ate at the bar but the pizza coming out looked and smelt great, the beer is quite reasonable in the bar for a hotel.

Can walk to just about anything, the outback is still open so if you're looking for a great steak head down to the Outback (most sites say it's shut but it's very much alive and kicking).

My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn by the Falls on May 17 - 19 using their breakation package. We upgraded to the Jacuzzi room, and it was a wonderful, relaxing, romantic getaway. I can't wait to do it again.

We checked in and soaked in the jacuzzi before getting ready to go to dinner in the Skylon. When we were ready for dinner, we simply walked out the back door of the hotel and down the parking lot to the restaurant. While some people's reviews say they were treated like second class citizens, I'm not sure what they were expecting. The wait staff was very gracious to us. For those of you that have never been to the Skylon, every table has a wonderful view, but because space is limited, couples are set with other couples most of the time since the tables are set for four. We set with a lovely Canadian couple. We learned from them that they too were eating using a dining package offered through their campground. On our way back to the hotel I asked my husband if he felt we were treated differently because of the voucher, and we both agreed we were not and NEVER would have guessed our companions were on one if they hadn't told us. Both the meal and the view were amazing!

The other meals were also good. We weren't impressed with the choices for breakfast, but for a nominal fee, you are able to upgrade to their breakfast buffet, which we chose to do each morning. The dinner in the hotel restaurant was also delicious and there was a musician to entertain us the night we were there.

The room was great in my opinion. We had a balcony that looked out at the Fallsview Casino. We stepped out on it each morning to test the weather and have a look around. We also tried to see the fireworks from there on Sunday night, but it didn't work. The jacuzzi was a red heart-shaped one right in the bathroom. The entire bathroom was mirrors, and the shower was above the jacuzzi. I had never seen this before, but it was very nice.

I also saw some reviews where people complained about the parking situation. We NEVER had a time when there was not adequate parking in the lot for the number of us staying. I suppose it could possibly be a little difficult when it is busiest in the summer, but the parking seemed adequate to us.

The purpose of our trip was to relax and recuperate from a trying college semester, and I was more than able to do that. I would definitely recommend, and actually already have recommended, this hotel deal to friends of mine. My husband and I will DEFINITELY return as soon as we can.
