The welcome wasn't very welcoming - no smile, no information about breakfast for example. Any request was met with a unsmiling face. The room was a good size - clean, particularly the bathroom but needed a coat of paint to cover the marks on walls. The carpet needs a clean as the room smelled musty. Always try to stay Holiday Inn when travelling, should be same standard throughout. Dissappointed though.

We found this to be a great location for walking to all of the Niagara sites. It is a bit of a haul up the hill from the Maid of Mist tour but we enjoyed the exercise. While the hotel is a bit dated, the rooms were fine and the staff very friendly and helpful. the price was very good considering tyhe location and the free parking, which is at a premium there. The casino and mall are very close, if that is desired. Be aware the casino does not take American currency but you can easily get currency changed there.

All you get to expect from a Holiday Inn plus REALLY convenient location for a walk to the Falls, plus FREE PARKING, plus removed from most off the noise and to top it off - friendly staff. Very good value for the money. Only downside was that we could not use the balcony and /or keep the door to it open since it faced the air conditioning units on a lower roof top .

Can't beat the location! Up a STEEP hills, so it's a nice walk from the Falls. Across the street from the Fallsview Casino Resort which was nice to be able to walk to. Starbucks is next door and Margaritaville is also! We walked about a mile to the section that had the ferris wheel, mini golf, movie theaters, haunted houses, Ripley's Believe it or Not, restaurants, Was Museums, etc. Cocos Restaurant had delicious pizza and nachos, great LIVE entertainment at night too! The hotel was nice considering it was 3-stars. I didn't expect 4-stars but my room was a little dusty. I noticed dust on the curtains and that's hard to get unless they don't wash the curtains frequently etc. Our King Bed room was decent but my parent's room with 2 Queen beds was much nicer and and seemed to have different décor and furniture. The bathrooms were very clean and had a sink on the outside of the bathroom as well which was nice. We had balconies off our rooms which was nice. The gym was small, but had a bike and 2 treadmills and we saw the indoor and outdoor pools which looked very nice too. Breakfast at Cocos was delicious. Staff at the front desk and wait staff at restaurant was VERY friendly. I'd LOVE to see them repaint the interior of the hotel to brighten it up as it appears to be very dark with low ceilings in the main areas. I'd say this was a great hotel and location for the $$ you pay. My parent's and boyfriend were very pleased with my hotel selection.

Room Tip: Based on what I saw, 2 Queen bed rooms were nicer than 1 King bed rooms. Better furniture and lighter colors.

A no frills Holiday Inn, but that's all you need in Niagara Falls. A nice clean room and the staff was very friendly. I did not eat at the attached restaurant. The 5 minute walk to the Falls is nothing....it's the walk back that's a killer, especially for the older crowd. You see, the hotel is on a large, steep hill. If you can get past that.....the location is great. One of the Casino's and it's shops is right across the street. There are MANY restaurants within a few minutes walking of the hotel. The hotel itself is not new, and that may be the only thing I can say negative about it. And again, thin walls can be a problem....sorry, that's a common complaint of mine. Balconies are nice. I had a good time....would definitely stay there again.
