I stayed over the Labour Day weekend.Hotel was busy but the staff was professional
and friendly. Service was very Good, Food was excellent. Room was comfortable
and clean.Lovely view of the Falls, right in Clifton Hill area, and walking distance to Casino.Good Parking.
This is alovely charming Hotel, with class. Good for families, as they have a
active healthly Waterpark.I am a active Senior and I truly was comfortable.
The Concierge Danny good with Maps and advice.
Lots to do and good entertainment.

My family and I stayed a night at the Crowne Plaza. We had high expectations of the hotel before arriving, assuming that the hotel was of a certain standard and service quality. However, we were deeply disappointed and our vacation was ruined by the service staff and the condition of the room. We did not book the room through the hotel direct (we booked through Hotwire), and were treated as 2nd class citizens because of that. Upon check-in, we were told that we were given a room with 2 double beds. We requested politely for a king bed as my kid fusses at night and may climb into bed with us, so a big bed was of the utmost importance. However, the lady at the front desk asked if we wanted an upgrade for an extra fee. She repeatedly asked us for the confirmation print-out despite our provision of a confirmation number and the check-in took approximately half an hour, which equates to half an hour less time at the falls. Ultimately, we were still stuck with 2 double beds, in a room just next to the elevators, which made sleep next to impossible because of the noise. Also, we requested a baby crib, which was delivered but placed unceremoniously at the doorway. My husband and I had to heave and pull just to get the crib to fit in between the 2 beds. What made matters worse was that there was a non-paying guest in the room - a housefly. As I travel with a baby, cleanliness is very important to me. Also, there were blood stains on the bedsheets and shower curtain - totally gross!! Even though the hotel's location is good, I still wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

We checked in on August 28th for a weekend getaway. It all started with check in. What great staff they have here always willing to help out anyway they can. The room was clean and the view was great. It was a first time get away for one of us in our party and she was amazed at the service both at the desk and in the dining room. We will be making this a yearly trip and will be staying here again.

As a fairly seasoned traveler, you expect to overpay now and then for location but ... Wow! I certainly expected a bit more from the Crown Plaza for more than $350/night average. It is the only $300+/night hotel I stayed in where the bathroom glasses were plastic! The hotel is in an excellent location. It is clean but the odor of chlorine is in many locations. I paid extra for a upper level falls view room but had to strain to get to the window as the room was so small. Is is a cute "old" hotel with overall a nice helpful staff. I did have a waiter at the hotel's main dining room who drove me crazy explaining in sentences every move he was about to make or task he was trying to complete. If he would just shut up and do his job, it would have been more pleasant and efficient. If you like the old and small hotels you overpay for in Europe then this hotel is for you! There are many nice and more roomy hotels to choose from than this! Spend your money more wisely and stay somewhere else.

i am assuming that the people who rated this hotel well stayed in the larger (more expensive rooms). we booked a "standard" room, which was by far the smallest room i've ever stayed in. it had a view of the indoor pool, and between the screaming kids and the loud music in the pool area, there wasn't much peace and quiet. besides being small, it was dirty, and very much in need of updating. the bathtub and sink were clogged. again, we didn't get to see any of the other rooms, but ours sucked! fortunately we were only there for one night, and spent all but the few hours we slept outside of the hotel. wouldn't stay here again.
