Disheartened with Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls: On November 10th, 2012, our American passports & two other important documents were stolen out of our room at the Niagara Falls Crowne Plaza. The General Manager Joseph Legace gave the corporate line: They are not liable for personal property and that they conduct a good background check on their employees. It should also be noted that apparently Crowne Plaza comes under the Casino Unit of Niagara Falls Police Dept.

The Crowne Plaza was simply outstanding. The service truly was exceptional, the food at the restaurant local and fantastic, the views of the falls was perfect and the entire feel and decor of the hotel is sensational. I truly felt that my business mattered to the staff. This is a hotel that truly goes above and beyond and allows you to fully relax and enjoy the magical setting on the falls.

My fiance and I decided to go back to Niagara Falls the same time last year and stay at The Crowne Plaza Hotel. We had an amazing experience last year at Crowne Plaza (In which, I wrote a review on it in 2011) So we thought it was only right to go back. We booked the a two-night ultimate couple package. (Taxes in plus parking was approx. $358.00) To many, they would think that's experience for two nights, but I'll explain why it isn't.

With the package and being a Priority Rewards Member, this is what we received...

- Free bottle of red/white wine (Approx. $12.00) *Thank-You Joseph Legace, General Manager of Crowne Plaza for that welcoming gift.
- Upgrade to a Fallsview room (Approx. $50.00)
- Gift card to Starbucks if you do not get your room serviced in the morning ($5.00)
- Gift card to Christinna spa ($40.00)
- Gift card to either The Rainbow Room Restaurant or Windows Restaurant ($40.00)
- Buffet Breakfast for each morning (Two mornings equals $88.24)
- Four free domestic beverages at the Hard Rock Cafe ($28.14)
- Four free Winery tours. Two at Hillebrand Winery and two for Pillar Estates Winery ($56.00)

Total value = $319.38

So it seems we only paid only $40.00 for the hotel. That to me is a great deal.

Our room was clean and the view of the Falls was unreal. The food at The Rainbow Room Restaurant was fantasic. The spa was extremely relaxing and peaceful. Hard Rock Cafe was a great atmosphere. The wineries were only 15 to 20 mins ago and it was tasty and fun.

If you have any questions please fill free to message me.

This is an old hotel with some real character. If you are looking for a modern hotel dont book this one as you will be disapointed but the Sheraton next door will suit you.

The hotel entrance/lobby is very grand and looks fantastic. Our room was on the 9th floor with a nice view of the falls.

All of the staff were very helpful throughout our stay and our room was not huge but plenty big enough for two adults and two children.

Our rate included breakfast which was a real bonus and served in the restaurant on the 10th floor with amazing views of the falls.

The hotel is linked to an excellent indoor water park but the admission price is VERY expensive even with discount given to hotel residents.

We really enjoyed our stay in Niagara but if you are planning to come be prepared to spend a lot of money as everything is extremely expensive compared to everywhere else we stayed in Canada. Such a shame as i am sure it must put people off returning.

If you are coming to this hotel make sure you book a falls view room as car park is not very attrsctive to look at!!

We stayed here in April and the hotel was only minutes by taxi from the train station
and a very short walking distance to the falls.
The building is a classical example of beautiful turn of the century architecture.
The staff were helpful and the rooms all had amazing views to the falls.

Room Tip: We had a room on a high floor and paid a little extra for a room closest to the Horseshoe falls, th...

I stayed at this hotel for a conference that my organization was hosting. My room was on the 12th floor with a wonderful view of Niagara Falls. The room was small but contained all the comforts of home. I especially appreciated the warm to hot water for the long showers that I take. Very soothing before the hectic day commences.

Room Tip: the rooms with a view of Niagara Falls are at the front of the building. It's worth the extra d...

Stayed here twice during a coach tour.
First nights stay was in a room with a decent view of the falls. Room was clean and bed was really comfy. Only downside was it was really warm in the room, the air con didn't seem to work, but I didn't mind opening the window and falling asleep to the noise of the falls.
Second visit and we were given a room at the back of the hotel with a view of the car park. Room was clean and seemed more spacious than our other room at the front. The bathroom was smaller though and lacked an extracter fan. Bed wasn't as comfy as before.
My wife and I both enjoyed our stay, the hotel gives the impression of grandeur.
