The Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls Fallsview is one of those hotels that offer a pleasant surprise. The 2 Double room I shared with my brother was small, and the window was particularly narrow. But we were still able to see the wonderful Falls. Facilities within the room were good though. Carpets and wallpaper need some upgrading. That is where the whining ends, however.

The front desk team was friendly and helpful (checkout was speedy and seamless). The main lobby is surprisingly lovely, offering old world grandeur, and a beautiful staircase.

We had breakfast in the restaurant on the tenth floor. Never MISS the this! The view of the Falls from there is truly spectacular. We enjoyed fresh made eggs and omelettes at the buffet station. Wonderful meals! And a Starbucks on the ground (main) floor. Who could ask for more...?

Overall, this is a comfortable, budget priced hotel (most times of the year, except the Summer months), which sits next to the Rainbow Bridge. It is also just round the corner from the gaudy chaos of Clifton Hill. Perfect if you are staggering back from a pub or restaurant after a great night out.

Room Tip: Book a Fallsview or Superior Fallsview Room whenever possible. The higher price is worth it.

Great location next to everything......staff was helpful......the hotel is next to everything you want to do...cliffton hill, hard rock, hershey store and of course the falls....get a people mover pass to get to some of the falls attractions and
Botanical gardens and you can leave your car parked for the entire vacation.........next time we are in Niagara falls will definitely be going back

This historic hotel is full of charm. Marilyn Monroe stayed here while filming "Niagara" (she stayed in room 801) and the lobby is just beautiful with it's (mahogany?) wood paneled walls and huge crystal chandelier. I stayed on the 12th floor, which required an elevator change from the typical hotel elevator into a smaller elevator on the 9th floor. I thought this was kind of cool, but if you are dragging kids along or are thrown by something quirky like this, you won't like it. My room looked right out on the Falls. You couldn't get a better view, and I loved sitting and having my morning coffee and looking out the window.

The room is smaller, but fine for 1 or 2 people. The bathroom is tiny but I think it all works with the charm of the place. The carpet could use a cleaning, but it wasn't completely gross.

I had dinner in the restaurant, and the serice was impeccable and the food fantastic. It's pricey, but where do you get a view like this? I ordered the basic continental room service breakfast and it was far more than you usually get, and lo and behold, they were on time, pleasant and quick.

I will definitely stay here again, and request one of the rooms up on the 12th floor again.

Room Tip: Make sure to get a room with a view!

The best part is that while it is now the Crowne Plaza Hotel it is really a beautifully restored General Brock Hotel. A true old-style luxury hotel at far less than luxury prices. It's where Marilyn Monroe stayed when she filmed "Niagara" - and part of the movie was shot in the hotel. It has a glorious rooftop dining room with a magnificent view of all of the falls. While Niagara Falls (Canadian side) has become even MORE honky-tonk and cheezy since my youth (many years ago) this hotel is a trip back into gentility and refinement. Service is excellent. Children are welcome. Facilities are modern. Rooms are not huge but are far more than adequately sized and the appointments are luxurious. It is located right across from the American Falls with a full view of the Canadian (Horseshoe) Falls. It is quiet and you don't see or hear the honky-tonk. Easy walking to Maid of the MIst and View Behind the Falls and lovely parks. I would never stay anywhere else in Niagara Falls.

Room Tip: View of the Falls.

We booked 6 rooms and all were double queen but we did not faced a single problem......Best valued as compared to the money they charge...much more better than expected ........And the most awesome was the breakfast area.......yummy food.......Recommended but only if you get a good deal........don't pay way too much..........Indoor pool and health club was good.......Overall a good experience.............

Room Tip: Awesome, economic property but don't overpay.........
