“Lovely stay...”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

With the hustle and bustle of every day life a trip away with just my husband and I was long overdue. The last thing we wanted to do was stay in a noisy hotel in the hub of all the activity. We chose to stay in a B&B and found Always Inn on-line. We were greeted with a welcoming smile and warm tea and cookies after a long drive in from Michigan. We were even given complimentary slippers and the use of comfortable robes for our stay. The room was charming and had bottled water, a bowl of candy, and a bottle of wine. The bed was very cozy and comfortable, too. John and Chris provided us with information needed to plan our adventure and gave hints on good restaurants and out of the way and off the beaten path things to do. If we needed, John was available to help acquire the passes and tickets for us. You just do not find this kind of service in too many places. After a tasty breakfast each morning John and Chris packed us Danishes and bottled water for out day out and about. When we arrived back "home" there was always a new supply of water bottles and candy waiting for us in our room. The location was ideal, just far enough away from the Clifton Hill area yet close enough to hop on the WeGo and get to any of the attrations with ease. This was one of the most relaxing vacations we have had in a very long time. I certainly recommend Always Inn for your next get away.

Room Tip: We had a private bath that was across the hall from our room. We did not feel this inconvenient at a...

My husband decided to surprise me for our 7th year anniversary and took me to Niagara Falls for a couple days. When we looked online to see how much a room cost in Niagara Falls we were completely surprised at how much a simple room cost - 400$/night !!! But then we happened upon the Always Inn bed B&B site a they seemed to have good reviews and the price was very reasonable so we booked it right away. We got there in the afternoon and John and his wife Chris (the owners) greeted us with a wine bottle to celebrate our anniversary and gave us a quick briefing of what to do in Niagara Falls and helped us get on our way with maps, the adventure pass (he sold us the pass on site to see the 4 main attractions and take the bus for 48 hours which was super convenient) and gave us advice on how to make the most of our trip. Then they gave us free water bottles and gave us the entry code so we would be able to get in at whatever time we wanted. We were really happy of the location because it was close enough to walk to the Falls if we wanted to but the bus stop was much closer if we didn't. (Trust me... even if its not that far at the end of the day you are happy to take the bus back!) We stayed in a room that's actually not one of their featured rooms but it was very nice and clean. It was private and felt like it was soundproof cause we didn't hear anything and there were 4 other couples and a child in the house. The breakfast was really good and the atmosphere at the table was nice. We have been to different B&B's and the atmosphere wasn't always so inviting. We recommend this place to anyone who's never been to a B&B.... it would be a great first experience! All in all, stay here, you'll enjoy it and the couple that owns it will go the extra mile to make your trip a good memory.

There are a lot of good things to write about this Bed and Breakfast, but the icing on the cake was the effort our hosts put into solving a small (but potentially significant) visa issue we had at the border. They alerted us to the problem, which we were not expecting, and then helped us solve it. Further, they did not seem worried by the unsocial time our train left - I was expecting to forgo breakfast because we were leaving 2 hours before the scheduled breakfast time. But no, breakfast (not cooked, but excellent food nonetheless) was made available for us.

Their advice about attractions and getting about the town was excellent; the house is comfortable and clean and close to the train and bus station. It is a wee walk to the attractions, but an easy walk.

The reason I booked this B+B above others in the area is it has a room with two beds, making it more afforable if you are travelling with a child.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: If you are travelling with one child, this B+B has a room with two beds. It is much cheaper than boo...

Always Inn, what a lovely old historical home built in 1878 with all the necessary modern amenities and so beautifully positioned on Simcoe Street just off River Road which runs along the gorge. The bed and breakfast bus stop is so conveniently close but we loved to walk down to the falls and look at the old homes. This was our first time to Niagara so much history and so much to do. Chris and John are such kind and generous hosts. Our first trip to Canada  We were given advise on what there was to do and how to use the bus tickets to our best advantage, where to go at what time so as not to stand in queues for hours to see the attractions. It was just awesome to see so much in a short space of time. The breakfasts were delicious, they included fruit, cooked English breakfast with pancakes and muffins and homemade bread. In the heat of summer the whole house was kept cool so it was a welcoming relief to escape the humidity outside. We also had access to a barbeque in the back garden, John set it up for us and left us to enjoy what turned out to be a very pleasant evening. Another evening we sat on the front porch sipping our wine whilst overlooking their pretty front garden watching the squirrels trying to get to the bird food. The road is quiet and we did not get the noise from River Road despite us being so close to the main road which runs parallel to the gorge! In the early evening as it cooled down if we still had the energy we would walk along the pathway. We even went as far as Clifton Hill and took in the “buzz”, with it’s coloured lights, restaurants, entertainment spots and souvenir shops. Going down Clifton Hill brought us opposite the American Falls which was an awesome view and then we walked back up River Road to our B&B where we enjoyed a nice cup of tea before heading to our welcoming bed. Thank you Christalla, John and little Georgie for making our stay such a memorable one. We are coming back for sure!! Eleni and Leto

Nice place, great food, friendly hosts, all at a very reasonable price... What more can you ask from a B&B? The hosts really helped us plan our visit and avoid visiting useless things. I would definately stay here again.

Gracious hosts that go the extra mile for you - whether it's their expertise knowledge of the area, or their gentle way of letting you relax undisturbed and keeping it all smoothly running in the background. The breakfasts are custom-made perfection, the rooms lovely and tasteful. Wonderful touches - like the complimentary bottle of wine for a 2-night stay, free internet, or recommendations for dining and shopping beyond the immediate town that are exactly as described - make this not only an exceptional accommodation, but one that is a great bargain that must be experienced while you have the chance. A superior bed and breakfast. Not to be missed.

Room Tip: The optional adjoining rooms are a great choice for larger families/groups. All are comfortable and...

From being offered a hot cup of tea or coffee with some eatables, to be informed as to the best spots to visit and coupons for restaurants, John & Christalla are perfect hosts of their bed and breakfast. The spa at the end of a long day was most welcome. Our daughter recommended Always Inn and now we are passing this recommendation on to you. Don't visit Niagra Falls without staying at the Always Inn. It will improve your whole experience.

Room Tip: Choose the one with the spa, if you like to soak after walking a lot. Can bring your own food and h...
