“Loved it!”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

We tried the Apricot Tree Cafe because of reviews on tripadvisor; we were not disappointed. The service was good and the food was wonderful. There were four of us - I had the warm special which was a salad with shrimp. It was WONDERFUL! My husband and daughter had the Apricot Salad which they both loved. Our guest had the Greek Salad and she loved hers too. Prices were acceptable, service good, food great - we'd definitely recommend it!

“Quality of food poor...service good”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

My husband and I went to Apricot Tree Cafe for dinner and were not impressed with the food.

I ordered the Chicken Parmesean. The tomato sauce was overly sweet. They had obviously added sugar to the sauce and it was done excessively.

My husband ordered the schnitzel. While he did enoy it, he was given a tiny cup of mushroom gravy with it. They could have charged 50 cents more and added more gravy.

The wine selection was limited.

That all being said, we had the service was friendly and welcoming.

“Oversold”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

Besides a not too knowledgeable server (albeit very chipper and pleasant) and a bland decor, the desserts left a lot to be desired. They are priced relatively low which now I understand, but according to other reviews the quality is well above the price point.
Well, we had the apricot jam crepes and the apricot strudel and were not impressed. 4 small crepes topped with a stale tasting ice cream were nicely presented but lacked in taste. The strudel was more like a pound cake wrapped in phillo pastry with an meager core of apricot or, more likely, apricot looking paste. It was fresh but was overall nondescript in taste and presentation.

“Well rooted tree”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

It was our first time here yesterday and we were pleasantly amazed at the quality of food and excellence of service by the whole staff. Their soup of the day was lentil soup with spinach and chickpeas, etc. My husband ordered the sweet potato and roasted red pepper soup. The chicken crepe I ordered was really good and I was told that it was one of the most popular ones. We finished with desserts and it just hit the spot :) Our overall experience was way better than its sister restaurant, Bistro Narra, in so many ways but of course, the latter was just planted so to speak and not as polished yet as the Apricot Tree. Bistro Narra is still one of the best non-chain, privately owned restaurants in Mississauga, though.

Danzel, our server was friendly, attentive and efficient. We'll be back there again soon!

“Good food, great desserts”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

This is a little quaint cafe and bakery. We often buy cakes from here. We love the apple cheesecake. The service is always friendly. The food is usually decent when dining in; however, I think the execution may suffer s a little bit when they get too busy. Always a good bet for casual dining.
