Novotel Toronto Mississauga Center

I have stayed at this hotel for its location a few times. The rooms are comfortable, parking is available for a charge and the staff is relatively competent for a mid level hotel.

I stayed on the top floor this time and the smell was overpowering. It was as though you had walked into a vat full of curry when exiting the elevator or opening your room door. Unfortunately the smell also permiated the room during the night.

I guess I will go up to the floor before accepting a room next time as there are no real alternatives in the immediate area.

I have a 3 months assignment in Mississauga where I need to stay 4 days a week at the hotel. I tried many of them and my favorite is the Novotel at Toronto Mississauga. The service is extremely good. The restaurant and the employees are dedicated and service oriented. The quality of the rooms are well over the similar hotel in the same price range. The hotel Manager, Didier, is friendly and always on the look out for better service. Good capucino, incredible fresh french crescent in the morning, we feel like France in the middle of Toronto.

On business in the Toronto-Missisauga area, I found the Novotel to be a great choice for its quick breakfast service at the Hotel Cafe but I mostly enjoyed because of its covered parking lot.

The space is a bit tight but when you can park for approx.10.00 $ a day, in the Toronto Mississauga area you're a winner all the way.

We had booked a room online from 09/28/07 to 09/30/07. When we got there we found out that there is a $10/day parking fee which was not disclosed on the website or on hotels.com.

We where in Mississauga for the Dodge rodeo at the Hershey centre - the site told us it was 1.0 KM away it is actually over 5 KM away - result was added cost for cab fare $25 each way - this should be corrected as soon as possible

Also we where there from the Friday to the Sunday - our room was not cleaned - we had to go to the front desk to get towels & when this was mentioned to them still nothing was done about it. We did see a lady cleaning the other rooms & we had left our room several times in order for her to do ours.

Also Saturday night we went to the rodeo when we came back to the room we couldn't get into the room We had to go down again to the front desk - they told us we had to re-register and give credit card # again as there was no record of us...not impressed.

Friends that also came on Saturday & stayed overnight they also said they where not impressed with there stay . When they arrived for a room with 2 double beds they where given a room with 1 king size bed. Something else we had to have corrected.

The hotel manager was not notified at the time we where leaving about any complaints about our stay.

We did not find out until later that if you book through a third party such as hotels.com you are pretty much out of luck - unless you contact them at the time of your complaints. But when it is after midnight & you are leaving the next day - this does't make sense & when you finally get an actual e-mail address & after 2 weeks of getting the run around from Novotel - they tell me to go through the booking company & then hotels.com tells me it has been too long for them to actually do anything about it.

If I treated my customers like this I wouldn't have any.....

Mississauga is a large district and I felt that this hotel was unsuitable for anyone wanting to spend a lot of time in Toronoto, but makes a good base if you're hiring a car and want to travel around the country. There is a secure car-park for guests which currently costs $20.00 per week.

Across the road from the hotel is a large shopping mall (Square one) which runs a bus service into Downtown Toronto. There are little or no other amenities near-buy appart from an all-night food shop and an expensive steak house.

The rooms are very large and comfortable. There is a massive double bed, a mini-bar, tea and coffee facilities, iron and ironing board, television and telephone. There is also a laundry service available if you need it. The room also had a soft, armchair and a coffee table.

Large bathroom and a big, powerful shower, soft fresh towels and shampoo and gel. There is also a shaver's socket and a hairdryer.

The room was clean and modern. There was a combination airconditioning/heating system which was so noisy I had to turn it off.

Checking in and out took longer than necessary because the reception staff in the hotel did not completely understand english!

I have no complaints about the hotel appart from the location.

We found this hotel located in a very enjoyable place. Our room was very comfortable. The Restaurant Nicole is really nice, with a good menu and a very kind service. Everything was perfect. Also, it is a pet friendly hotel. Our small cocker spaniel was allowed to enjoy a nice week end with us at Mississagua, that is a beautiful city, and Niagara Fall, and it even received a warm hug from a blonde girl of the reception desk group the last evening we were there. Thanks a lot to all of you!
