We always love going there because it feels like our bistro somehow. The service is excellent and we know exactly what to order on the menu to be delighted! I do not like some of their Italian dishes but there are many more that I adore and we will always go back!

A test of an Italian Restaurant is the Osso Bucco. Its hard to get it tender and flavorful without over cooking the vegetables. Most restaurants don't even try. Bertoldi's gets it exactly right. Mine was excellent. My wife had the salmon over mixed vegetables and loved it. It was easy to select appropriate wines to go with the food from a good winelist. Others in our party were equally pleased with their dinners. The gelato was freshly made and a good finish to the evening. Service was good and prices about right for this type of place.. This is a good place to eat when in London Ontario.

Went with some friends and sat on a covered patio. Nice to be outside but it seemed to impact service. On previous visits where we sat in the main dining room, servicewas quite good but not this time.

All four meals were average. Everyone commented that the quality seemed to have gone down since previous visits.

Add the slow service and it does not make this a destination we will try again soon.

We may try one more time but with some amy other places to try....

I am a regular patron at Bertoldi's in London, Ontario and love their food, wine list, and service. Bob and his team have done a great job in creating an authentic Italian menu and have a great selection of old and new world wines. We occasionally have large groups and the private room is a perfect place for family and business meetings.

The Zio's and Zia's platters are fantastic (I'm vegetarian so go for the vegetarian option) either as an appetizer for the table or as a different approach to a full meal for one.

If there's a significant event or concert downtown it may be difficult to get a table but well worth the try. Highly recommend Bertoldi's and the food at their sister restaurant in the south-west part of the city (Dolcetto) although I've never eaten in at Dolcetto as the ambiance is not as nice as Bertoldi's and, I've heard, can be a bit noisy.

We arrived with a large party it took over 1 hour just to get our drinks. Minestrone soup was pasta sauce with a few noodles. Chicken marsala had tomato sauce in it. Gnocchi were like golf balls, maybe harder. Our entire group had stomach aches after this meal. Over two hours before our meal was served and the attitude on the wait staff was extremely poor. Tomato sauce was extremely acidic, had to have been overcooked it looked like paste. Our waitress couldn't get the order right. I would never go to this restaurant again nor would I ever recommend it to anyone!!!! Looks great from the outside and inside but the food is anything but Italian!!! STAY AWAY!!!!
