Storybook Gardens is located in beautiful Springbank Park. This attraction has parking right in front of the castle entrance. There is wheelchair parking available.

Once you enter and pay the entrance fee which was $6.50 for children and $7.50 for adults you exit the castle and begin your day filled with fun for the kids. Our 1 yr old grandchild was free. Storybook Gardens is nestled among flowers, trees and ponds with paved walkways. There are a couple of rides in the grounds that you pay extra. The rides are $2 a ticket. They have a slide ride, swings, small ferris wheel, and another ride for kids. The rides are not impressive at all but little ones enjoy them. If you have a large family this can boost the cost considerably. Outside of the grounds near the entrance there is a merry go round.

If it's a hot day make sure to bring swimsuits and towels for the children to use in the splash pad area. There were lots of children the day we went and all were having a great time.

Towards the back of Storybook Gardens there are large play areas, and a maze for the children. Pirate Island has climbers in shape of ships etc for the children to explore. There is a huge tower with slides at different levels for the children. There is also a geometric rope area for the kids to climb on.

There are some domestic animals.... donkeys, sheep, goats, rabbits, silkie chickens, to view and a hand washing area as you leave. There is also an area with some wildlife and fowl such as hawks, geese, a lynx that was injured when it was young and is partially paralyzed so it now has a home at Storybook Gardens. It walks with a noticeable limp. This area is small and certainly not a main attraction. There is also a pool with a harbour seal in it.

There were a few families with wagons and a cooler and they picnicked inside the grounds at tables.

I would recommend checking out the whole area before hitting the splash pad or the kids won't want to see the rest LOL.

Hadn't visited in years, but came with my adult daughter and her 2 year old boy, my sister and her adult daughter. It was a hot humid day so we arrived early. The ice cream vendo's were out of order, the misters were not all functional and even bottled water required more walking than this granny wanted.
The displays and attractions were clean and in order. Baby enjoyed his train ride and carousel ride.
Come with plenty of water, sunscreen, and hats!

Cute park for little ones (i would say 5 and under), my twin 2 year olds loved it, but my husband and I were hoping for a bit more. The park is pretty much a big splash pad and a bunch of giant jungle gyms. There is a little farm area with some sheep, goats & chickens and an area with 2 seals, but that's all. When we walked into the park we were excited to see a few amusement rides (Ferris Wheel, Carousel, etc.) but were not impressed that you had to pay extra per ride. I thought for the price of the admission those would be included, but they're not. Not a great value for only a splash pad and jungle gyms, but my 2 year olds loved it.
