Fantastic rooms, clean, great Aveda products, staff is warm and courteous. Walking distance to concerts/hockey games, market across the street. Wonderful restaurant in the lobby. Highly recommend. Will definitely stay again

From the moment I entered the hotel lobby, I was in LOVE! Sights, sounds, smells! Everything was delightful! There were clocks displaying time from around the world, a beautifully decorated festive tree in the corner, stunning chandeliers & lights, and fresh lemon-lime water to greet us. The woman at reception was so inviting and helpful; we were efficiently checked-in and heading to our room within minutes. The room was gorgeous - indeed more like a loft. Exposed brick, floor to ceiling windows looking over the downtown London streets, a soaker tub and separate glass shower off to the side. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The location of this intimate hotel is perfect - centrally located - steps from London's Budweiser Gardens, The Covent Market, Victoria Park and shopping on Richmond Row. Whatever you need, this hotel will exceed your expectations! We will DEFINITELY be back. Thank you to the Hotel Metro management and staff for caring about your visitors!

First time staying at Hotel Metro and we have only great things to say! Felt more like a loft than a hotel. Great bed, beautiful room, central location, and the service was spectacular.

Case in point: after a hockey game at Bud Gardens, we had about an hour before our dinner reservation so we came back to the hotel room with friends for a drink. We were wishing we had brought a deck of cards, so we called reception to see if there were any we could borrow. The response was "We don't, but there is a little place that may sell them just down the street. Let me grab my coat." Not more than 5 minutes later, a deck of cards arrived at our door (no charge). Amazing!

Many thanks to Hotel Metro staff for a great stay! We'll be back. :)

We stayed here in October during a Thanksgiving visit to see relatives after finding out our original hotel Idlewyld had closed unexpectedly. We booked online through Expedia and called to get directions. Front desk was very helpful and upgraded us to a room with a King bed in a room with a really interesting layout. Toilet was closed off, but shower and tub open to main room. Didn't bother us at all but some people might not care for it. Although the bed was a "murphy" style bed, it was extremely comfortable. Only downside to this room was music from the restaurant below which was relatively noisy until about 10pm. Nice touches of a small fridge and coffee machine. Super convenient location near the indoor market where you can get something for breakfast and pick up ingredients for lunch! Restaurant downstairs in hotel was busy and bar service was good - can't speak for food. Overall we would stay here again. Super friendly staff, cool rooms, great location, fair price.

Comfortable, friendly, stylish & convenient. A very good hotel situated in the most interesting part of downtown London. Much better than the chains. The staff were very helpful & the room felt like a hip loft, not a hotel. Will definitely stay here again.

Stayed for just the one night in the middle of a blizzard. We chose this hotel because of the close proximity to The London Gardens where we had tickets to a concert that night.
It certainly deserves the moniker 'boutique hotel' because of it's chic interior and smaller number of rooms. We asked for a queen bed overlooking the atrium and we were upgraded to a king. The room was quite large and could have accommodated a small table and a couple of chairs, however it didn't and we had our coffee and pastries both facing a wall sitting on the bench from the bottom of the bed. Underground parking was available directly across the street in The Covent Garden Market for $13 per night. I agree with another reviewer that the pillows are not the greatest. I think they should offer a choice between a softer pillow and a firm one such as most of the larger chains now offer. Another bonus of this hotel is the inside direct access to 'Blu Duby', an upscale restaurant next door. All in all, we would stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Room Tip: Ask for an atrium facing room as these will be the quietest.

I stayed in this hotel for one night while in London for business. The location is in the heart of the City on the east side of the river. Easy walking distance to the court house. The hotel is across the street from London's Indoor market which is a great place to get breakfast in the morning. Several of London's best restaurants are within a block or two of the hotel. The main hockey arena where the OHL Knights play, the Budweiser Center is about 100 metres from the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel was outstanding. The duck dinner I had there was one of the best duck dinners I've had. My compliments to the chef.

Parking was in the underground parking beneath the market. One flight of stairs directly across the street. I don't know why anyone would need an elevator to the parking area. I unloaded my luggage ( brief cases etc. ) at the front door of the hotel and was quickly and cheerfully assisted by hotel staff. I then parked my truck and enjoyed the short walk back to the hotel. The wait staff in the restaurant were highly skilled, friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the bar while watching a hockey game and having my meal.

The room I stayed in had a nice view of the market square. I used the Complimentary Wifi in my room and the work station. The room was well appointed with a comfortable bed. The room was quiet despite being close to major downtown streets and a vibrant entertainment district. I had a good sleep.

The hotel was clean and well maintained. It is not a large hotel with only one elevator but it was never busy and i chose to use the stairs except when moving in and out due to my work brief cases and luggage.

My only regret is that I didn't bring ice skates with me because I would have liked to skate on the out door rink in the market square across the street ( built over the underground market parking lot. )

The people I dealt with in London were very friendly and welcoming. This is a beautiful city with a really great downtown. This Hotel is in a great location and you can park your car and easily walk short distances to lots of business and entertainment venues nearby.

I recommend this hotel for business or pleasure.
