Restaurant was noisy and unpleasant, the owner would yell across the dining area to his staff and had his kids run all over the place.
The service was slow and unprofessional, took 20 minutes to even order food.
The food is extremely over priced, a bowl of spicy chicken and noodles cost ~$29.

Please visit this restaurant if you wish to treat yourself to a terrible evening.

I order take outs regularly from this restaurant anf dined in a few times too. They recently renovated but I haven't gone thet after renovation. I love their spicy fish and the chef recommended dishes. The price is fair in comparison to other chinese restaurants in the city.

they've changed menu, with what i originally thought a slightly more limited choice, but a lot of the old favourites are still there. and looking more closely at the menu - there seem to be at least the same number of choices, and all of them sound great. there are several choices in the hot and sour soups, along with several others - but no "north american wonton". many items in szechuan, cantonese, peking styles, and they've added some dim sum.
we ordered from the old menu and they offered either the smae items, close alternatives, or made suggestions for replacements. favourite this time were the "ho fun" noodles with beef in black bean sauce.
still extremely good food. we did not get a "kwai loh" menu delivered (chicken balls / north american crap). not sure if it's because we were asking for real chinese food, or whether they are no longer producing those items. we're ever hopeful.
still excellent food, and reasonable prices. if you appreciate real chinese food - come here or order from here. you will not be disappointed. you'll have a hard time coming up with better chinese (real chinese) anywhere in the city.

their beijing eggplant has become a diet staple. they have two menus. the kwai loh menu if you want chicken balls , and the real menu if you want chinese food. if they say spicy, they mean it. still exploring their menu, but a delight to find real chinese food in a local restaurant - have not had a dish we haven't enjoyed.
we order takeout - good quantities at reasonable prices, and a large menu selection.

We moved to London 6 years ago from the Toronto area. One of our disappointments about initially living here was the lack of good authentic Chinese cuisine. (actually good cuisine of any sort) We have since travelled to China at least 12 times...and lived in Shanghai. When I found out about New Kung Fu opening...I thought I would "chance" another so called Chinese restaurant in London. BINGO! Finally, at last a decent Chinese restaurant that serves great regional Sichuan dishes, Shanghainese, Hunan and the typical Cantonese cuisine that most Canadians are familiar with. Yes, it still has the dreaded chicken balls...and fried rice that Canadians associate with Chinese food - but that isn't authentic, nor is it good in my books. Experience the real thing Londoners...shredded pork in fish sauce - sounds strange..no it isn't fishy - it's absolutely delicious...try the Shanghai noodles...mixed Chinese mushrooms...the various hot pots. We go to New Kung Fu on a regular basis.
