“Watery coffee and overpriced snacks”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

Red Roaster, while supposedly a London institution, leaves much to be desired.
The coffee is weak and watered down.
The 'food' is overpriced; baked cookies and muffins and very small sandwiches and wraps.
They do fresh soup some days.

“Great Food and Service but not cheap”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

This place has neat food that is very much non commercial in nature. You will get great freshly made soups and sandwiches and bakery goods too!
Overall the space they are in is on the small side and the prices although in line for hand made and fresh are not the level of your typical quick bite coffee shop. They don't always have enough of items listed nor the same level of selection on visits.
Get them on a good day and it is great - if they were busy you may be left with little choice.

“Food remains very poor”
Reviewed December 14, 2012

We visited this location again as were unable to get seating in a nearby coffee shop.

While their web site states ``freshly prepared meals, sandwiches, homemade desserts`` we found no sign of such items.

Wraps and sandwiches were sitting in a cooler fully prepared. We assume they could be heated on a Panini press or something. They looked very sad.

We tried some chocolate brownies and to say they were stale would be too kind. There was some soft material in the middle but the outside was very hard. They did not seem homemade.

Coffee remains very good and they have a good selection including flavored coffees. They also have a selection of teas.
Too bad they cannot produce good quality food.

“Coffee still very good, food not improved”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

Stopped for a quick coffee and snack and tried their Chelsea Buns. Even after being warmed in the microwave they still were stale. Hard to cut with a fork. Two of us had these and they were both stale

One person hada Lemon Poppy Seeed muffin and they reported it was "OK".

While eating we noticed the sandwiches and wrpas in the cooler looked rather sad. Several commented on the fact that they food was sitting there and surprised that sandwiches and wraps were not prepared to order.

The food needs help. Coffee remains reliable and they have a wide selection
