You walk inside and it stinks of old grease and fish. Bathrooms were very dirty and gross. Service was good. Time for a fresh coat of paint, some cleaning and level the bathrooms.

We stopped here after visiting Point Pelee. We had perch and pickerel and thought both were very good. I also really liked the slaw. We had a nice waiter and service was efficient. We were a little late and there were about 3 other groups of diners besides us. I noticed a perfect meringue pie as we were going to our table. We ended up having some, it was lemon, and also coconut cream pie. They were both delicious. We found all our food to be very good. This is a very casual place.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, it was one abomination after another. One of our dining companions was in a wheel chair and as he waited at the front door for the rest of us he was told to "move out of the way, they are busy and he was in the way". As if this wasnt enough to just turn around and leave, on principal - we decided to stay. It was Wednesday, the fish and chicken special day. One diner does not care for fish and instead of ordering the same as everyone and letting someone else eat the fish, the server over heard us discussing it and told us this "was not allowed" and directed her to the menu that showed the chicken only selections. Our waitress was rude and was in a hurry and "she was rushed off her feet". I think if i heard that phrase one more time that night. When placing the second order, one of our diners was not sure whether he wanted a second and he was told to "hurry up she didnt have all night". The chicken that we received was legs and backs. I thought Leamington was a long way to drive to have legs and backs. No wings or white meat at all. We brought a cake, as it was a celebration and asked for new cutlery and small plates, Neither one of which we received and ended up hacking it up with the only clean spoon left and eating it from napkins left on the table. The table next to us had a toddler that screamed throughout the entire meal to which both parents ignored as they ate their meal. The meal was well over one hundred dollars which could and will in the future be spent on a wiser choice of restaurants.

Have eaten at Paula's over the years and it seems they are trying to upgrade their service but the food is nothing special.
Might be a good idea if they concentrated on their food rather than servers dressed up.
Although convenient to Point Pelee National Park, there are better options if wanting good food.
Sorry Paula's

My husband and I both had perch for lunch and it was very good. It was really busy, but the waitress was very friendly and efficient and the food was definitely worth the wait!!
It was a nice bonus that we could have our lunch outside on the patio.
Best restaurant in Leamington in my opinion!
