Andrew, and his team at Ahoy rentals, went above and beyond to create the best 10 day long kayaking adventure for me and my niece in August - September, 2019. Coordinating our kayak rentals and safety equipment, shuttle service to our starting point, and pickup at our final destination were seamless. Before we ventured out, Andrew made sure that we were aware of some rough weather ahead, which helped us to plan our overnight stays to avoid being on rough waters as much as possible.
Andrew checked in with us along the way, as we paddled the Rideau Canal system from Kingston Mills to Black Rapids.
When I asked if he would send us our lock passes at the end of the season, he agreed, and now we have these very special souvenirs to remind us of our trip together.
Andrew, and Ahoy Rentals, made this dream trip a reality.
Thank you Andrew for treating us with kindness.

Went on a 3 hour sail with Andrew 11- 2. Lovely day that got a little windy and rough by the afternoon but Andrew handled the weather admirably. The sailing races were on in the Portsmouth area so we had great views from the boat. We brought a picnic lunch that we shared aboard so as not to loose sailing time by docking somewhere. Andrew took us to quieter waters behind Garden Island and had a lovely picnic on board. Good experience for our friend visiting from the US. Thanks Andrew for your expert navigating!

Andrew offered the local paddling expertise we needed. Had kayaks ready for our group, making for a very simple process Great way to see Kingston.

We booked a canoe online as we weren't familiar with the water there. We quickly realized that it would be too difficult to paddle in waves caused by motor boats in the area. As a result, we went back to ask for a kayak instead and the staff were very accommodating. They also suggested different routes to go to and helped us with our equipment. We will definitely go back there this summer!

This shop is few steps from my condo. I came in on Sunday afternoon and got a Kayak immediately. No ID, no cash upfront was needed. I did not even need to carry/pull the kayak myself it’s right near the water.
The staff were very helpful. They were quite calm and helpful even when I fell and flipped my Kayak.
I enjoyed my experience and I’m definitely coming again.
