A small local bar/restaurant with outstanding fish and chips. You choose the fish and can order a smaller amonut of fries if you want less than the mountain sized portion usually given. Lots of locals there enjoying the good food. Service was friendly and fast, bar prices were reasonable. My British collegue had the steak and kidney pie and said it was delicious, tasting homemade. You'll enjoy a casual evening at the Pilot House if you like fish n' chips or other British /Canadian specialities.

Go to the Pilot House for a pint and some fish & chips. Really good fish & chips! It might be hard to squeeze in because there is a group of people who seem to live there, I like the ambiance at this pub....the location is superb as well. Eating outside in the summer is nice. The only downside is the same crowd of locals who take up most of the room....the pub is so small. I only hope they drink alot.

The chairs look like they were from kitchen table sets. It is a fine fish and chips and comfortable grub with a drink sort of place. When I lived a block away, I never went there as I could eat at home quickly enough. It's not bad, but think of it as something like a family gathering in the kitchen with a 2-4. Not fancy, no pretention, lots of comfort.

We stopped in at the Pilot House for late afternoon drinks; it is a very small pub, with a bar and perhaps 8-10 tables. We loved the atmosphere: people of various ages and from different "walks of life"; many people standing around the bar talking; very likely a neighborhood place. Beer and appetizers (shrimp) were great; we plan to go back and try the fish & chips in the future.
