“Yes, Sir!!,”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

UNESCO, United Nations Educational, Scientific, & Cultural Organization, designated this fort as a place worth preserving for the world to see. Any site they choose in the world IS worth the entrance fee. What makes his fort special is the cadre of well-rehearsed university students who proudly perform and take visitors through the fort, explaining its strategic location guarding the Rideau Canal and the Saint Lawrence River in the 19th. century when Queen Victoria was the ruler of the British Empire. She was the queen when my grannie was born!!!! The fort is impressive and definitely worth your time.

“Nice place to visit”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

We went for a day visit. I recommend taking the guided tour (offered on site in french or english) available at different hours.
Plenty of parking available.
Very nice place and very well maintained. The staff (guide) was knowledgeable.
Some places you have to visit are below and all in stone and very humid, so do be careful (slippery).
I like history, so I really enjoyed this visit.

“Well maintained”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

For fans of military history this is a great day out. The regular "troops" at the fort keep it very authentic and partake in drill, re-enactments and ceremonies.
