Directly on the water and many great restarants to visit, or just sit on the benches and watch the boats and the water go by it is so very relaxing.

This is a lovely place to walk around and take in the peace and quiet of this lovely town.
The harbour area is unspoilt and the people very friendly.
The perfect place to relax !

You would have to go to Victoria BC for any view as good as you see in down town Kingston Ontario. The Wolfe Island Ferry operates hourly year round which is a nice touch, but in the summer when the Cruise ships, power and sail boats arrive it is fantastic. If you can catch the CORK sailing competitions in August you will enjoy a real treat. Some of the best restaurants that you can find anywhere are located in this area.

Kingston's strategic import is clear when you see how Lake Ontario ends and the St. Lawrence river begins right here. Plus the Rideau Canal that wends up to Ottawa. The waterfront has had a commercial past, long ago, decades of neglect, and in recent decades a renaissance of high end hotels, restaurants and walkways. It adds a charming, historic, and scenic dimension to the town.
