“Too bad”

Kingston Waterfront

Kingston has a beautiful scenic waterfront, however large condominiums block a lot of the view. Too bad, on the other hand the view is also blocked by historic buildings, built in the 1800's which are beautiful. Even though the city demanded the developers allow access to the waterfront with a walkway, it still is not really natural as the walkway is part of the buildings. Confederation park on the other hand is delightful. Entertainment every weekend and a lot of evenings during the summer months, close to the many restaurants on Ontario Street, some of the best in Kingston. With the city marina part of the waterfront, it is a tourist Mecca. The proximity to the many stores of downtown Kingston and the farmers market makes it a very busy area You gotta love it.

Nice view of Wolf Island, Royal Military College from Kingston Waterfront. Many various activities during summer time in downtown Kingston. Sunday, the antique market, Saturday, the produce market, movies in the Market Square on Thursdays and music performances on Fridays.

Kingston has a lovely waterfront but someone made an error in judgement and allowed developers to build large complexes which block much of the view to the water. What a shame!

Kingston waterfront is a glorious place especially in the summertime. The views of the lake, the beauty of Confederation Basin and Park, the majestic City Hall are all breathtaking. Add to that the historic architecture of downtown Kingston, the constant events, Market Square with all it's local products, the ambience of the outdoor patios.
One of Canada's most beautiful waterfronts!

Such a clean waterfront! Will be even more enticing when the walking mall renovations ending at the waterfront are complete.
