Kingston has a beautiful scenic waterfront, however large condominiums block a lot of the view. Too bad, on the other hand the view is also blocked by historic buildings, built in the 1800's which are beautiful. Even though the city demanded the developers allow access to the waterfront with a walkway, it still is not really natural as the walkway is part of the buildings. Confederation park on the other hand is delightful. Entertainment every weekend and a lot of evenings during the summer months, close to the many restaurants on Ontario Street, some of the best in Kingston. With the city marina part of the waterfront, it is a tourist Mecca. The proximity to the many stores of downtown Kingston and the farmers market makes it a very busy area You gotta love it.
