Had a good breakfast for lunch. Good service and great price. Menu is pretty extensive fo this cozy place. The service was outstanding and quick.i can see how this would be a popular spot for locals

Prepare to eat with the locals here. It's obviously a popular spot, with many patrons coming in not & even ordering........."just the usual" indicates a good reputation
Good breakfast, with a huge portion of good home fries. Our simple order managed to take quite a long time to arrive, and then had wrong toast. Coffee was very weak and blah tasting; if not for that I'd have rated higher....breakfast needs good coffee.
They also don't seem to have a "special" that includes coffee, which bumps up the meal price a fair bit.

My wife and I had breakfast here with our 10-year-old on Good Friday, March 2018. It was actually closer to lunch time when we arrived, but the breakfast menu was still available. We had to wait for about ten minutes because the place was full, but soon enough we were seated and menus were handed around. This isn't an "Eggs Florentine with Poached Asparagus" place. What you have here is your straight-forward, carbohydrate power load with as many different cured meats as a body can stand. And boy, is it ever good. Service was super-fast (except for the coffee refill, which for whatever reason seemed to keep missing our table). I had pancaked with bacon. The three pancakes were huge and light and the bacon was thick and crisp. Real maple syrup instead of table syrup would have been nice - but if I had asked for it I might have gotten it so I shouldn't complain. The coffee was pretty good (it was certainly fresh). And the price was entirely decent. A lot of places try to trade on the "Mel's Diner" image without understanding that solid cooking and good service are the mainstays of such establishments. Not so with Peter's Place. It's the real deal.

I have had takeout breakfast from here a number of times and it is consistently good, reasonably priced with good service.
