“Great Films!”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

Don't expect to be able to find this place until its box office opens in the evening. It's tucked away on the second floor of what looks like an office building.

Once inside it looks to be run by real movie buffs. The films they have chosen are definitely not Hollywood and seem well-selected based on quality and diversity.

The theatre I sat in was quite small, flat-floored and nothing fancy but the screen was in new condition and the sound was excellent.

At the box office area they sell an eclectic mix of snacks and drinks. I recommend the Egyptian licorice tea - that they serve in a real cup that you return when finished.

The people that worked there seemed happy and invested. I will be back there tomorrow night!

“LITTLE KNOWN GEM IN KINGSTON”

Great movies, many that do not make it to the Big Name Theatres. Terrific prices. Best popcorn in town. Not usually too busy. Special prices some nights - check website.

“Off the main track and older movies”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

Looks like you have the wrong place from the outside a syou have to go around a corner and up a flight of stairs to get to the theatres. My friend loved the popcorn. I enjoyed the small intimate theatre and a very good foreign film.

“A comfortable independent movie theatre”
Reviewed May 29, 2012

If you want to see a non- Hollywood movie, international film, indie etc in a comfortable seat with lots of leg room, this is the place. They serve hot tea in various flavours in real glass mugs in the winter. You can also buy healthy pure fruit juices such as Black River pure mango juice. There are healthy snacks too and they do serve popcorn! The selection of films is what you would find in most independent theatres in other big cities. It is located downtown, and is easy to walk to. Recently I noticed an escalator, which makes it more accessible for people who find it hard to climb stairs. It is my favourite place to see films in the city.
