“Hits the (Right) Spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2012

With prices like those, I'm surprised the place wasn't packed with more college kids. If I were a Queens student I would be there nursing all sorts of hangovers. For like $4 you can get a classic plate of bacon and eggs (comes with toast), which is pretty much the deal of the century. In truth, the place is probably what some would consider outdated, but that's why I loved it. A genuine blast from the past. It is run the cutest older couple, and has been there since 1977. I heard that they are trying to sell the place, so folks this is your chance to have the Right Spot experience. Do yourself a favour, and visit this place if not to simply unwind; it is the perfect shelter from the outside world's hyper modern, hussle and bussle.

“Great little kitchen find!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Operated by a couple forever, the place you can just sit and have a coffee, breakfast, or a homemade piece of pie. The old atmosphere takes me back in time. Check it out while downtown!

“Greasy Spoon”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2012

Classic sort of run down greasy spoon. Husband takes orders and wife cooks. He never writes anything down and always get it right. Prices are low, they also sell houseplants out of the restaurant. You won't be amazed but if you want a quick breakfast that's better than the over-hyped Morrisons, this is the place!

“Classic Greasy Spoon”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2012

Ate breakfast here. It's your basic "greasy spoon" and is okay. Not bad - not great. Friendly and clean, but old and shabby. Good if you're wanting ham and eggs and aren't looking for fine dining.

“food is average place needs a makeover”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2011

This was a mom and pop operation in a historicla building ( under Sir John A Macdonalds law office)..run by a lovely older couple who were trying to sell the place..food is good, a bit slow, prices "outdated" lol...close to market square for a quick bite...place needs new ownership to renew the TLC it has had for decades
