I'm always coming here with friends or my boyfriend walking dogs or just riding bikes through the trails. Love coming here! And love how its such a gem of a place and so near to all of us!

We recently discovered this place, to the west of Kingston Airport where we often land in our small 'plane. After parking at the Central Airways FBO we can walk to Lemoine Point in 10-15 minutes, then hike there for another hour or so.

You walk through the fields passing a farm with sheep, barnyards, hayfields, etc. and then enter a network of trails in the woodland, some of which take you to the water's edge and rocky shore. Plenty of seats there for taking a rest and watching the boats in Collins Bay. There's a clearing in the woods with picnic tables and a mown lawn where we saw squirrels and a deer. If you have time you can reach Rotary Park and the Collins Bay Marina at the far end of the trail.

Cyclists and runners also enjoy this area. There's a parking lot at the entrance, at the end of Front Road.

My wife and I live less than a 1/2 a mile from Lemoines Point, unfortunately, we take it for granted and seldom visit it by ourselves. When we have out of town visitors we proudly take them for a walk on the trails showing them the gorgeous waterfront, the woods, the wetlands, you name it, Lemoines Point has it all. If you are lucky you'll see deer or maybe a coyote, although, we have deer visiting our backyard on a regular basis, part of the group living in Lemoines Point.

Lots of free parking. There is a driving trail for your car, bicycle trails and walking trails, over all we should appreciate it more.

There is ample parking, the trails are clearly indicated, there is a washroom at the start of the trail. The woods are lovely and some of the trails follow the edge of the point along the waterfront and into Collins Bay. There are usually friendly folk with and without dogs (leashed). In the winter it is a great place for cross country skiing.

We enjoyed a morning walk along the trails. A variety of things to see including woods, meadows and farm, not to mention the water. Paths are easy to walk on, some shared with bikes, others not. Worth the hour.
