Best Western Fireside Inn

Our stay at the Fireside Inn was very short. We were at the hotel for less than 8 hours. Our overall opinion of the hotel was that it was in very good shape. Princess St is very busy. However, the rooms are set well back from the road. We had been upgraded to a whirlpool suite. Arriving just before midnight and leaving early in the morning, I don't think our neighbours would have appreciated us using it. The suite was very large. The bedroom had a comfortable king size bed. The living room had the whirlpool, and a three seat chesterfield which probably made a bed. The was a fireplace. My overall opinion of the room is that it did not quite achieve what it was aiming for. The coziness was tinged, and missed the mark. Our complementary breakfast was excellent. It is one of the few breakfasts where the hot food selections were actually hot. If we return to the Kingston area, and needed a hotel, we would probably stay here again.

Very friendly people, excellent little restaurant/lounge (Toms). The hotel is starting to show its age and is a little frayed at the edges but still a very decent hotel and very reasonably priced. Pillows weren't the best, kinda weird but they seemed very low quality.

The Fireside Inn a great place to stay when in Kingston. The hotel is situated about mid-way between Highway 401 and the downtown of Kingston and within a few blocks of all the necessary amenities. The decor of the rooms is cozy and warm with a fireplace in each room for those cold season nights and a nicely appointed pool patio area with available bar service. The beds are fantastic and the whirpool bath in my room upgrade was terrific after a long day on the road. Don't miss the complimentary breakfast in the morning! The selection of hot and cold items in the breakfast buffet is varied and delicious! Very friendly service and a smile!

We were looking for a close-to-home getaway for the weekend and this was it! We had booked a regular room, but were able to upgrade to hot tub suite when we checked in. The room was excellent! Dinner at Tom's Place (one of the two restaurants on site) was great, in a great atmosphere.

The hotel is far from new, but the craftsmanship of the wood trim and decor still stand today/

Breakfast was included and was perfect. Lots of options in a small breakfast buffet!

Kingston is a wonderful place to visit, and I highly recommend staying at the Best Western Fireside Inn.

Room Tip: Ask about an upgrade when you check-in.

Fireside rooms are spacious , clean . King bed and furniture all very comfortable. Bonus was the wonderful breakfast included in price with hot and cold food and coffee.. Would recommend for a night or a little vacation in beautiful Kingston. Short drive to downtown.
