After waiting in line for about 15 minutes we were seated at the counter of the small yet cool resto on trendy Locke Street in Hamilton. A small but decent selection of draught beers and an esoteric selection of quality bottle beers go well along side the homemade burgers (various types of meat) and poutines to rival the downtown Toronto joints. My lamb burger actually tasted like lamb - unusual in a setting like this and the upgrade to the Québécois poutine was well worth the extra charge (fresh, crunchy cheese curd and tasty not too thick gravy on crispy fresh cut fries). The chicken burger and the turkey burger with Brie & pears were also highly praised by my ravenous family. It would be difficult to go with more than a party of four, but do make an effort to go - and be prepared to wait if you're going in prime time.

I am so happy to have found this place....I will be visiting often! Love this place....it's small, but a very friendly atmosphere. It's usually quite busy, but well worth the wait to get a seat.

Such a great menu selection! You can get a great variety of burgers, even venison and bison meat. Prices are a bit higher than elsewhere, but absolutely worth it. Their veggie burger is the best i've ever had! Fresh and delicious ingredients!

Pricey? yes. Top quality? You bet.

The folks that own and run Chuck's own and run the Harbor Diner, if you've never been to the Harbor Diner you have done yourself a great food disservice.

Anyway this about Chuck's, in the trendy Locke Street setting. Small place which here means line ups, but what better way to grab the walk by clientele than having hungry, drooling people standing in line for a burger?

Not the most affordable burger, but then again, where in the Hammer do you get an elk burger or a bison burger or a "bacon" burger which is a patty of chopped bacon?

Fresh cut fries and different poutine. Pricey, but every once in a while a different burger just calls your name.

It sounds over the top but it has great flavor without being greasy. They have bottled pop in unusual flavors like Black Cherry. Only down side is it's small for how popular it is so sometime hard to get a seat.

This place makes the best poutine in Hamilton hands down. The burgers are also top notch. The atmosphere can get quite packed and snokey joint that leaves you smelling like grease when you leave. I usually call in my order and pick it up.
