“beautiful water park for the kids”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

Great, free water area for the kids. Beautiful band stand, classic and so rare these days. Close to McDonalds for affordable snacks for the kids if you stay long or if there are events, you can buy food from vendors there. Free parking unless there's an event. Mature trees which are getting rarer and rarer sadly. Fountain is lovely. What a gem Lady Gage gifted us.

“Mum show”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

Gage Park is a lovely place and each fall- late October to early November-the greenhouse has its Mum Show. Always a colourful display of different types of chrysanthemums, shaped into different sculptures, with a different theme each year. A few artisan booths are there during the show as well, and we always drop in to see Anthony and his latest stained glass creations. For a modest admission it is a pleasant couple of hours to spend. If you go at the end of the show you can buy the mums very reasonably! In the spring, there is a bulb show too!

“Perhaps the Botanical Gardens Need to Take Some Advice from them”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

Beautiful colours, still lots of seasonal flowers on display and a delight to wander around, would recommend a visit to this free park instead of the considerable payment required at the Botanical Gardens.

“Excellent Variety Within Park”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

Gage Park has something for everything. Play areas for children with splash pad, Rose Garden, Band Stand, Tennis Courts (summer and winter), lots of walkways/bikepaths with plenty of benches to sit on and watch the world go by. Greenhouses with Mums show in the fall and other displays at various times of the year. Festivals in the Summer with vendors selling their wares. Parking best at rear off Lawrence Road or on many of the side streets. Great hills on east side for small children to togobban in winter. The Children's Museum (and Activity house), is currently closed for reassessment and located off Main Street East.
