Hello again followers, this is a nice clean and convenient hotel in the heart of downtown Hamilton, however it is by no means a luxuriously appointed hotel. It is at best slightly above par for the coarse. My family and I very recently stayed at this location, 2 queen room, lake view 8th(top)floor. Standard room is what comes to mind at best. We had one bar of soap and one shampoo/conditioner for three people, really! And I had asked that a fridge be brought up to my room prior to my arrival so I could store some food in it upon arrival, but that didn't happen so I had to discard some of my food wastefully as by the time they got the fridge to us and the fridge had cooled enough it took almost 4 hours, not a good start. Now for the good-great points about this property, it's right downtown Hamilton East right along the mountain side, get the lakeside view it's very nice especially at night with the city lights view. very, very, convenient to walk to anything and everywhere, restaurants, shops, malls, etc., etc. The hotel has parking directly beside the hotel although it's an $8.00 per night extra charge, it's still very convenient. The hotel itself is very well kept and is very well maintained although the carpeting in the hallways and rooms look a little old and dull, the rest of the rooms appointments are average. The hotels amenities are also well kept and very clean. The pool area in fantastic it consists of a large "L" shaped heated pool 4ft shallow and almost 8ft deep ends. a kiddies 1ft deep pool and a 12x6ft large whirlpool, it's perfect. Directly beside the pool area is a very well appointed work out gym/room with elliptical cycles and benches and plenty of free weights even a hack squat machine, NICE ! We enjoyed our stay there for two nights. If you decide to venture to this location and you too request a fridge be in your room, I highly suggest that you call a couple of days ahead to confirm it will be put in and turned on in the morning of your arrival. I also very highly recommend that you eat at a German/Bavarian restaurant literally just down from the hotel like 5 minutes walk or less called The Black Forest Inn, Fantastic place, great food and moderately priced, try their Vienna Schnitzel with the spetzle and mushroom sauce, you'll absolutely die from how great it is, trust me, OMG ! $15.10 FOR THE MAIN WHICH INCLUDES THE SPETZLE, A NICE SIZED HOUSE SALAD AND A BASKEST FULL OF FRESH BREAD, ADD $2,40 for the bowl of mushroom sauce you get, and for $17.50 drinks other than water not included you get a huge meal, that you will most likely not be able to finish. So take the leftovers back to your room fridge, I did. Good travels and eats folks. Cheers!
