“Don't go looking for light fare! Beer was good!”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

The food was your average pub fare. Not a lot on the light side, but hey, it is an Irish pub. We ended up have "Irish Natchos" (waffle fries with salza and fake cheese) with a beer, then left to have dinner at another place. It is large, open and noisy. The staff was pleasant and looked after us well.

“This town seems littered with Irish pubs”
Reviewed September 11, 2012

The food was okay, the atmosphere was fine and the wait staff were pleasant. All-in, it was a respectable meal at a fair price. The only thing I might mention is that it was sort of busy and fairly noisy but, then, that might attest to the sort of attractive place it it, mightn't it?

“Sub-standard carbon copy Irish pub”
Reviewed August 25, 2012

The food's okay, the location's great, the beer is seriously watered down and the service is TERRIBLE. Fewer places make their customers feel so much like a nuisance. There's a couple other much better Irish pubs in Guelph, give them your business instead.

“Pub Food”
Reviewed August 12, 2012

Standard pub fare, huge place with a separate room for live entertainment, lots of flies due to open windows, efficient, enthusiastic service.

“Bangers and Mash and Guinness - Can't Go Wrong”
Reviewed April 2, 2012

Right downtown Guelph, within walking distance of everything. If you like typical Irish pub fare and Guinness, then this place is it. I tried the bangers and mash - they were very good and plentiful. The sausage was good quality. My wife had fish and chips. It was a large portion but the fish was well over-done. The Canadian is on tap and poured at 4 degrees, providing a special flavour. Nothing outstanding - just good solid pub fare. Exactly what we were looking for.
