The river run centre has excellent acoustics and can accomodate anything from a musical review, individual artists, to the Three tenors.

“Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 24, 2013

Visited to see Joseph. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help. Seating was comfortable and I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. The sound system was good delivering sharp quality sound. Well worth a visit to see the latest production.

“A great venue in a ver convenient location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2013

This is a perfect concert hall for a small concert.

The acoustics are good, parking and access is easy and staff are always friendly.

If it was my choice, I would never go to another venue for a concert in Ontario.

“Great Venue and Shows”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2013

We have been to the RIver Run Centre many times for everything from the Guelph Symphony, Comedy shows, Ballet and childrens programs.

The selection is varied so there is something for everyone to choose from and see. The accoustics are great for any style entertainment.

It is a truely remarkable centre that Guelph should be very proad to have. It has the capability to hold larger scare shows while continue to focus on the community programing as well.

We love it!!

“Excellent acoustics in a professional theatre”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2013

As both an attendee of concerts as well as someone who regularly uses the River Run Theatre, I have to say it is one of the best small city theatres in Southern Ontario. There is a varied choice of concerts, plays and events both professional and semi-professional, as well as supporting the local arts community.

The building houses two theatres: the smaller Cooperator's Hall and the larger traditional performance hall, the Main Stage.

This venue is the home of the Guelph Symphony Orchestra with a high standard of performance, the Guelph Chamber Choir, also a highly acclaimed choir in Canada, and the Guelph Youth Singers.

Every year the Guelph Jazz festival and Dance Guelph uses the venue for various concerts and performances.

Christmas time brings the annual Messiah, performed by the Guelph Chamber Choir, and the version of the Nutcracker presented by Ballet Jorgen. The annual Christmas Tree fundraiser for St. Josephs Centre always provides a fairy-like atmosphere with the dozens of decorated trees.

Local dance schools usually showcase their students in year end dance recitals.

There is a small gift store selling local items, a coat check, bar and the glorious Canada Company Hall with a bank of windows overlooking the Speed River. It's an ideal spot for special occasions such as weddings.

Washrooms are limited, especially for women.

Parking is limited on site, so it's recommended to use the East Parkade - however, be prepared to pay $5 per event parking.
