For a few years, the Red Brick Cafe had been our favourite place to go. Great old building, interesting artwork, friendly staff. Lately though we've seen a considerable lapse in service on a number of occasions. It's as if the guys working there have forgotten that they're there for the customers. Loud music (turned up so they can hear it above the espresso machine), lukewarm lattes, and very little in the way of welcome or eye contact at the cash. Most times we've felt like we were intruding on their space. It's time for the owners to take a renewed interest in the place and improve the customer service. After all, the competition is heating up in the core. I hope they can find their way back.
