Mustang Drive-In

We go to the Mustang Drive-in a few times a year. We always have so much fun as a family. It is a relaxing evening out and a good price.
My only concern is that it could use a splash of paint and a bit of an upgrade. It would be nice to see an actual park area for kids to play.

Thank Tartuffle

If looking to catch a movie and want something a bit different, try the drive inn. Fun way to spend a summer's night, under the stars, watching a movie in the car. Full snack bar with all the greasy offerings you would imagine at a drive inn.
If possible, try one of the ling weekends, Saturday and Sunday are all nighters, 4 movies and pretty cheap when you compare it to one of the regular theatres.

The Mustang is a trip back in time. It starts with the cash only policy. After all, the didn't have debit cards in the hey day of drive ins! The snack bar is good with burgers, dogs, fries, rings, etc.

The intermission reel the classic from the 60s I think.

But there are enhancements too. Projection is digital, and the sound is Stereo FM over your car (or other) radio, so the movie quality is much better than the old days listening to a scratch post mounted speaker.

Excellent value as you can see a double feature for the slightly more than the price of a single movie at the Cineplex.

Over all a great way to spend a summer evening!

Couple of points to keep in mind.
1. They want to keep this family friendly, so no "getting busy" in your car.
2. One thing old cars did not have was automatic daytime running lights. If you cannot turn yours off, bring a heavy blanket or tape and cardboard to block yours off if you need to start your car during to show if things get chilly, etc.
3. No outside food or drink!
4. Don't forget the insect repellent.
5. If bringing younger kids, bring a pillow and blanket so they can crash when they get too tired.

Classic summer night out - including a vintage reel for the snack bar. Washrooms are lined up during intermission!

We saw the Smurfs. I was a different experience than sitting in a theatre. Prices were good too. My daughter had fun sitting in our hatchback trunk!
