I loved coming to Shakespeare's Arms over the past few years for great cozy interior and nice food. The last few visits, however, really disappointed me and each visit was worse than previous one. The selection became smaller and the food became worse and worse.
One of the last visits I ordered meat loaf and they brought it barely lukewarm and with cold uncooked vegetables (menu says served with cooked). Last time we went there we waited for almost an hour to bring fish and chips (during middle of the day, wasn't even busy) and when I finally got the food, the chips tasted stale and the waitress forgot to bring tartar sauce. She apologized and went to fetch it, but apparently forgot.
Two years ago, I would have rated Arms 4/5 easily, but unfortunately now I really can't recommend it to anyone. You might like beautiful and cozy interior and friendly staff, but don't expect much from this place in terms of food or service.
