It is the time-honoured, artisanal, slow food techniques of paysannes, country cooks and grand-meres that we embrace in our kitchen. Join us for a memorable culinary experience--all are welcome! Bring in the family for a family-style meal served in our bar room on our pine harvest tables, drop by for a 3 course $35 prix-fix Wed and Thursday, or enjoy a celebratory or romantic evening in our dining room. If you've been going to bakeries and restaurants marketed as "artisan", this restaurant will refresh your brain as to the meaning of the word artisan. Very competent French country cooking in a nice relaxing setting. We went on a warm summer evening so sat out back in the patio with a lovely giant walnut tree overhead. The inside looks just as welcoming. Menu was well chosen to suit most tastes yet was interesting for those looking to savor their food and featured fresh produce which one doesn't find often enough elsewhere. It's not a place to go when you are in a hurry (it looks like Baker Street or Woolwich Arrow nearby are the places to go particularly for the afterwork crowd). Food is cooked from scratch here which the waitress made sure to mention that it would be 30 minutes for the main courses to arrive. We hadn't ordered starters but with the fantastic bread, amuse-bouche and conversation the time did not lag. They appear to be a young crew running the restaurant but they do appear serious about providing a nice dining experience so I think they will only get more polished in time and they were particularly good about accomodating for seeing and mobility issues.

We went as a group of five and each of us couldn't stop raving about the flavours and sweet surroundings. This is our favourite restaurant in Guelph by far.

Dined here last week, very quiet atmostphere, not busy at all.The wait staff were very pleasant,as was the female part owner. Now --the food.Very small portions, average taste ,felt like it was very pretentious ---would rather dine at Bin 23 in future.Much better taste and more down to earth.Oh ,and the chef was so busy falling over backwards to two guests he knew ,all else was practically ignored.!

Charming atmosphere and wonderful food. I've eaten here a few time for lunch. I've always ordered from the 2 for $10 menu, usually soup and an open faced sandwich. Then ordered a fabulous dessert. The Mont Blanc is amazing and totally decadent.

Our family celebrated the June and July birthdays here in the middle of July. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The food was French country style cooking. Everyone in our party (6 in# ) was happy with their choices. Two had chosen the socca with salmon roe as starter and it was superb. Entrees were varied in selection and everyone thought theirs had been a good choice.
There was a good selection of wines in what I would call a reasonable price range.
The atmosphere was relaxed and we enjoyed socializing over the delightful dinner. One of the couples had come from Toronto and they remarked it matched anything they could get there!
