“A little piece of rainforest in Cambridge”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2014

I had driven past this place hundreds of times without stopping. A recent vacation day let me stop in and see what it was all about. The live exhibit area (a greenhouse) is peaceful and quite fascinating (although extremely humid, so you need to hydrate and stay for only short periods). I think going on a guided tour would have given me more pertinent information about these creatures. The other static exhibits look a bit dated and tired and could likely use a refresh in the near future. If you have an hour to kill and are looking for a step into a different world, I recommend this place.

“Great learning experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2014

Great place for kids to learn. Fantastic bug collection. My kids enjoyed the butterflies, we stayed approx. 1 hr. So many beautiful butterflies. Price is also reasonable. If you are traveling a far distance prepare for other activities in the area. The staff is also very helpful and welcoming.
My children got bored after the 1hr. We found a little farm in the area then went to Tim's for lunch.

“Getting up close and personal with butterflies”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2014

An exceptional learning centre. Clean and well versed in the life of a butterfly. You can see up close different varieties of butterlifes as they fly about your head feeding on the plantlife within the Conservatory. Great for kids. Most of the parents touring where very on top of keeping their childrens fingers off the wings of the butterflies; while they explained the joys of kinship with them. Viewing the different stages of their lives was most interesting as well. A wonderful place for both young and old. Make sure you visit if you are in the area. Well worth it. Nice little restaurant to have a light lunch in as well; very tasty.

“Great place for the kids on a fowl weather day..”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2014

We've taken our girls a couple if times and they love to watch the butterflies and if you spend 20 minutes they are bound to land on you. Nothing like going here on a -25 day or when it's raining, price is reasonable and we will go again this winter.
