“No time for lunch? Meet for breakfast”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

Our team wished to take a coworker out for lunch for her last day, but try as we might we could not find a date that worked for our schedule.

We decided to go out for breakfast instead, and then the question became, where could you find a good place for breakfast that had a good atmosphere.

Who knew that Langdon Hall has a delightful breakfast menu for a reasonable price.

Three of us went on a beautiful morning for breakfast All three had different choices and each thoroughly enjoyed the.meal

One person went for the Confit Duck, Ricotta & Hazelnut Crepes, Parsley Salad & Cherry Tomato Nage. It was lovely and more than enough.

I wanted to experience the buffet as well as one of the dishes, the Full Country breakfast along with the Roasted Asparagus, Poached Egg, Hollandaise, Breakfast Radish, Grilled Sourdough. The specialty dish was nothing fabulous, though the presentation was lovely, and the radish was a nice surprise.

The third just chose to have the country table display menu.

The country table had some great selections on it, and lovely variety, the coffee was great, and the service was wonderful.

Overall, though the best part of the day was the location. The patio is a delight to sit at, with the greens of the trees, the pool and the buildings.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here the night after our wedding! The staff were warm and welcoming, the cloister room was spectacular ( so much so I was so overwhelmed I cried). The spa facility was very nice and the staff were pleasant. We could not say enough about the food! Both dinner and breakfast were wonderful. We are going to return in the fall so we can enjoy the fire place and beautiful property more! Thank you Langdon Hall for making the first day after our wedding so special!

Recently my husband and I enjoyed a wonderful evening at Langdon Hall. We were there to celebrate the impending birth of our first child and Langdon Hall made it wonderful!

The grounds are immaculate and interesting. We enjoyed the vegetable garden, the salt water pool and a drink (they have great mocktails!) on the patio for dinner. There is a rustic feel to the grounds while maintaining elegance and grace.

Our room was very nice. We had a walk-out to the back and a private patio which was lovely. We were able to walk directly to the pool and vegetable garden without going through the house. The wood fireplace was a nice touch. The only criticism on the room was the bed. While the linens were great the mattress and bed were worn. It is time to replace the mattress.

The restaurant and the food was exceptional. We loved the food and the service was polite, efficient and real. Everything from the amuse bouche to dessert was perfectly prepared, presented, and flavoured.

I enjoyed the spa as well. Their packages are very well put together and it was a wonderful morning. The tea room is very comfortable with a nice selection of teas, coffee, and light snacks. The facial and the pedicure were done very well with a high attention to detail and sanitation. The massage was wonderful. A pregnancy massage was made available with pillows to prop me (and my pregnant belly) appropriately. As my feet and ankles had started to swell the therapist did Lymphatic drainage which worked fantastically. The therapist was attentive to my individual needs and made sure I had a wonderful and therapeutic experience.

We would highly recommend Langdon Hall.

Langdon Hall is a treat, a fantastic old classic house that takes you immediately away from the hectic life of business travel. While it is not really a business hotel, it is an amazing place to get to on a business trip to shake up the routine. Even better is Langdon Hall for a short holiday, it s romantic, laid-back and restful. The best of quality finishes and touches.

Restaurant is very nice, though too pricey, especially breakfast which I now always skip on as it just cannot be justified. Love the little pub downstairs for a scotch.

Room Tip: Ask to stay in the main building.

I had a few group Teas at Langdon Hall so I took a friend to see your gardens today.
She treated me to coffee and I was surprised at the desserts we ordered.
They were fine but not interesting enought or large enough for the price.
We use the restaurants in Stratford often so I know it is difficult to find the same quality in other areas.

Wow, from the moment we entered the property and saw Langdon Hall - I knew we were in for a treat. The grounds are expansive and welcoming. The main hall is classic and warm. The rooms are large and comfortable. The pool area is inviting and relaxing. The service is simply what you would expect - excellent. Go for the weekend and enjoy!

We booked a meeting for 9 people over two days. From the initial contact to book, followed by catering contact and finally on site contact with all staff, they were all prompte, efficient and service was exceptional.

We all commented that the portion sizes appeared small compared to what we North Americans get used to seeing, but we had a starter, a main and a dessert and no one was hungry after the meals. We had snacks provided at our breaks and we were still full from our meals...so no one can say that we didn't eat well. Food is not the boring stuff you find on other menues, a true foodie's delight, all fresh with local ingredients. We had lobster for dinner and was great not to have to fight with it out of the shell!

Outdoor pool is heated which is nice for a cool June visit! Great service by the pool and beer is reasonably priced. A few people decided to use the free bicycles for a ride and enjoyed the scenary of the area.

Nice that you can use the spa facilities even if you don't book a spa service!

Grounds are gorgeous! Great places for photos and we especially liked having our lunch on the terrace under the sparkly lit tree.

Beds are so comfortable, rooms are gorgeous, was too warm to use the fireplace but I bet it is really cozy in the late fall or winter!

Would love to book another meeting here and if I could afford it, would go back for a visit with my significant other...as it was that impressive....

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms usually have a seating area. We were in the Stable room and the Cloister rooms...
