Don't usually write two reviews but felt a second one was truly warranted in this case. As delicious as last night's dinner was at Amaya, we just couldn't finish everything at one sitting ... an amazing dinner for two with incredible samosas, lamb mint curry, chicken tikka masala, aromatic rice, two kinds of naan bread, and a perfectly light cheesecake for dessert. With the more than ample portions, there was plenty of food left over to take home and enjoy for dinner this evening. And to our surprise it was every bit as good if not better than last night's offering ... could it be that the fantastic flavour of the spices only became richer overnight? This restaurant sets a rare high standard for others to follow: outstanding value for money, mind-blowing food flavour, and impeccable service ... consistently with each and every visit. It just doesn't get any better than this!

Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum yum! **wipes mouth with napkin**

We are two Brits, used to Indian food UK style. We always thought the restaurants in the UK knew what they were doing, until now. The freshest, most lipsmackingly delicious food you'll have the pleasure of tasting. Cooked from scratch and it really shows. No pots of pre-cooked food here! The service was wonderful. Our waiter was the nicest young chap.....so polite and helpful. He introduced us to the owner...an equally lovely chap. Please, if you love Indian cuisine, do yourself a 'flavour' and get yourself a table booked here.. You won't be disappointed.

My fiancée found out about this restaurant from this website. We decided to try it out. The server was so nice, personable and very helpful. The decor was very nice. The food was AMAZING, so delicious! The only slight downfall was a the price- but we did get a lot of food! Overall, fantastic!

My husband and I recently spent a long weekend in Burlington and made a point to go to try Amaya Express based on the positive TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. We ate at several excellent restaurants during our stay, and Amaya was really special. The service was excellent -- everyone very attentive and very helpful at guiding us through the menu. The food was super -- truly some of the best Indian food (aside from India) that we've had. We enjoyed the pakora to start -- the coriander and tamarind chutneys were a perfect accompaniment to them. We then enjoyed the Amaya prawns (again, excellent) and the green beans with toasted coconut, curry leaves and potatoes (incredible). They also have a truly delicious pickle! Our server Cherengid was gracious enough to give me a small container of pickle to take home (I was so happy as it was homemade!).
The owner, Sachin, stopped over to our table and brought us a slice of their delicious mango cheesecake. I might not have ordered dessert because we were so satisfied, but it was divine --creamy, not too sweet with a delicious crunchy crust and a lovely mango coulis. He also explained that everything is made in house and you can taste that.
We left with smiles on our faces, full tummies and a great experience -- best of all, Amaya is a great value for the quality of the food and the service. We spent twice as much on other restaurants in Burlington and they were good, but we really loved Amaya and will be back on our next trip. Like other reviewers say: Pleasant surprise; excellent find -- impeccable service.

Great food; service friendly and efficient. We ordered the family meal for 4 people which is a lot to eat but every dish was very well presented and very tasty. Naan is delicious with many different varieties. Enjoyed every dish and bought some home and finished for lunch the next day. We will certainly return and highly recommended for any Brits who are home sick for good Indian food.
