Wallpaper is peeling, no amenities now that this is no longer a travelodge, by no amenities I mean no microwaves, no mini-fridges, no robes, very few towels, fixtures/plumbing in disrepair and staff couldn't care less. We visited for a wedding and they didn't clean the room at all during our two night stay -- same for the rest of the wedding party. Dirty, old, out of date.

We found the room to be clean and nice, and you cannot go wrong with the location. However, the management is worse than one would expect at a Hourly Rate Motel!
When my wife and I communicated to the front desk that the neighboring room was being excessively loud at 3:00 AM, they refused (three times) to actually go to the room and ask the neighbors to keep it down. The management, and employees at this Travel Lodge are completely inept, and should be all fired! This is a good location and could be a flagship Travel Lodge, but new management will be the only way that this could ever happen.

We booked 2 rooms for family to stay over the Christmas holidays. Stephanie kindly upgraded their rooms to executive class. She was the only good experience. Other staff on the desk were rude , ignorant and uncaring of simple requests.
The executive class rooms were small and basic. Excellent view of the lake. The mattresses were comfortable, but the sheets did not fit them. Two bugs ( not bedbugs) were found in one bed. The rooms had been booked for a total of 5 adults and two children, but only 2 towels were supplied.
With proper customer relation training for the up front staff, the hotel has the potential to be a very nice, reasonable destination.
As it is now, I would not recommend it to anyone.

Our family recently spent 2 nights on a weekend at this hotel. The purpose of our visit was for a sports tournament.
The hotel was easy to find and close to major highways. The parking was free and check in was friendly and efficient. Our room was quite small but clean. We had booked the room with 2 queen beds for 2 adults and 3 children. We added a cot but could just barely squeeze it into the room. The beds and the cot were comfortable. The other option was a king size bed and a small pull out sofa in the same small sized room. The mini fridge was missing from our room and would have been nice to have. The ice machine was broken on our floor. The shower had good water pressure but the hot water was fleeting no matter what time of day you showered.
There was a beautiful view of the lake right behind the hotel and the bridge in the distance. A nice walkway was along the lake at the rear of the hotel and a nice children's park a short walk away. The hotel is in the old downtown area with plenty of small shops, restaurants, a gas station, coffee shop, variety store, grocery store, etc. nearby. The Beer Store and LCBO are across the street, half a block away. The street also has many new high rise condominiums overlooking the lake.
The hotel has an indoor pool and hot tub. We rented a hospitality room (in the lower level) for the team and families to gather in. The room was small with just room for a conference table and chairs around it. It had a large flat screen TV that was good to watch sports on while we sat around and chatted. The room was fairly inexpensive and definitely a good idea for everyone to have a place to gather and not disturb other guests. We ordered pizzas one evening for the team from the 2-for-1 pizza place around the corner from the hotel, as suggested by the front desk staff. The pizza was delivered quickly, was hot, tasted good, and all for an excellent price. There was a small, cold continental breakfast in the morning available until 9:30 a.m. Not sure why they close so early when check out isn't until 12 pm.
Overall, our stay was good, but not great. It met our needs. We would possibly stay here again, but would compare other hotels in the price range ($125/night Cdn.)

I was a bit apprehensive when I booked guestrooms for my son's wedding given the past reviews of this property. Everyone's experience is different and for us and our guests, this property and it's staff were great. It's not the Ritz but it's fine for a mid-price hotel. All of the rooms that we booked, were ready early for check-in and two non-smoking rooms were switched to smoking without the front desk staffperson batting an eye. The rooms are spacious and they were clean. The brick wall, I thought, added a nice rustic touch which fit right in with the maple furniture. The fan in our bathroom was loud and that was a bit annoying. The lake and park view was a plus. The smoking rooms are located on the floor below the lobby but the hallways and rooms were clean. There was no stale smoke smell in the hallways at all. The breakfast room. (open from 7:00 am - 10:00 am), was adequate with a good selection of breakfast foods and refreshments. The restaurant and bar on the main floor is vacant but we were told that another restaurant will be taking over the space in the near future.

  • Liked — Downtown location
  • Disliked — Loud and annoying bathroom fan

Where should I start. For $170, you get a tired, unfriendly hotel you will want to run away from as soon as you arrive.

Rooms have nasty housing-project style vinyl windows overlooking nothing, the carpet is nasty, the brick wall is laughably out of place, and pine furniture should not exist by now. Same for the polyester sheets.

Staff is at best indifferent and common areas of the hotel are plain trashy. The bar is insanely overpriced and the beer has an awful chemical aftertaste.

Unless you can get this hotel for $60, RUN.

Maybe you don't need to stay in Burlington after all.

Rooms were clean and not too small. Central location in Burlington, on the lake with easy access to restaurants, shops and walking paths. Front desk staff helpful.
