We chose this hotel because they allow dogs and we wanted to bring our puppy with us, the service and staff were great. They allowed us to visit with our family in the pool area. The pool was warm and very clean the hot tub was so relaxing!! The room and beds were clean and fresh. We chose to return just a few weeks after our last visit and stayed about a week our stay was relaxing and we will be back again for sure in the near future!
Thanks Waterfront for a great time.

As with many other reviewers we also had a horrible experience. I am the type of person that can sleep through ANYTHING (I slept in the basement under parties as university) but I didn't get a much sleep at this hotel. Starting at about 11:00 pm we heard the very loud elevator (sounds like a jet plane) plus many party-goers yelling loudly in the hallway, banging on doors and doors slamming shut. They have a disco downstairs and my impression is that one person rents a room and many stay in it (we were there Saturday night). We got 2 hours of sleep maximum, we had a 7 hour drive the next day and we hardly made it as we were so tired. Honestly, save your money and drive all night or stay in your car (you won't feel any worst than if you'd stayed at this hotel). They need to sound-proof the elevator and get a handle on the noise in the hallways- you don't pay good money for a 'nice' hotel only to wake up exhausted.
The breakfast was actually pretty good.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else! If you have to stay here stay away from the elevator.

We just traveled to Burlington to celebrate my Birthday and stayed at the Waterfront Hotel.

The Hotel is extremely loud, there were people running up and down the halls all night long, and yelling to each other until all hours in the morning. The doors are also so heavy that they SLAM shut and that is very loud at 2am. :( You can hear everything going on in the halls.

Not to mention the hotel is HOT! Even if you turn off the heat it keeps going...

And just because it says "waterfront" your view may not be water, so make sure you ask for that if it's what you want.

The best thing about this place is the Beaver and Bulldog!! They have fantastic food!!!!

Stayed here for a girls weekend with a friend. Location is very optimal, but I was surprised to see that even though I booked a "King Executive" room (at least two tiers up from the bottom rung) I was NOT facing the waterfront and was very near a noisy elevator shaft. It was difficult to sleep, compounded by the fact that even with the heat turned OFF our room was roasting (and it was 3 degress celsius outside.) Would not come back

We were here for yet another hockey tournament. Front desk staff was wonderful, very friendly. The Friday evening we arrived back at the hotel after a game and they were hosting a pizza party for the guests. You can imagine 17 hungry hockey players and the hotel thought this was just great. The man just kept putting out more pizza. The hotel is older, but is kept up really nice. We had a corner king room and it was a really nice size. Everything was very clean. We were given a hospitality room to prepare meals for the boys.. Pool is pretty small, but the kids still had fun. Continental breakfast was really nice and you sit and overlook the bay while you eat. It was freezing when we were here but would have liked to walk the downtown area. Actually booked a stay here in March for my in-laws before we left.

Room Tip: Corner king was nice and roomy

Location is the only thing going for this dated establishment. A big plus is the Beaver and Bulldog Pub located off of the main lobby. That being said, the brunch served there was just okay. Would have been better to cross the street to any of the many establishments in the downtown area, however the brunch was included with the room.
Took the advice of previous travelers and secured a room remote from the elevators and overlooking the park...many thanks!

Room Tip: rooms overlooking the park or lake and not near elevators

The rooms are very tired and dated. In fact out room 213 was depressing, the view out of the window was the lower roof full of AC chimmneys. The windows are small, which make the room quiet dark. Its not a room you want to spend much time in. Checkin staff were friendly and efficient as was the breakfast staff. The breakfast its self is not really worth getting up for. The quality was not good. Would I stay again? No.
