We stayed one night as part of a bicycle tour group. We had two buffet meals, breakfast and dinner, which were both among the best food we had in the last 42 days. The staff was friendly and efficient and the varied food choices were excellent!!

The location was good for us. We were within walking distance to a mall (15 minutes). There was a nice bar/lounge with freindly staff. And a good laundry facility.

Although our room was not ready when we arrived at the hotel. We were given a time by the front desk staff and the room was ready at that time. All handled very politely and professionally.

Our room was large and the bed was VERY comfortable. I am not a big fan of shampoo/soap dispensers but when I read another comment I realized that I like having a bar of soap. The soap bars were provided. After spending 43 nights in different hotels each night, I realize it is a waste of money on partial shampoos. Travelling by bicycle, we are limited by weight and cannot take every partially used item with us. So, I think the dispensers are a good solution on all sides.

Each staff person we had contact with was friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend or stay again.

What a pleasure it was to host your group! We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with the world! We decided to be more environmentally friendly with the disposable shampoo/soap dispensers, I'm glad they worked for you on your trip.

We take great pride in exceeding our customers expectations, so it is thrilling for staff to read the postive feedback that has been shared on TripAdvisor!

We look forward to your return!

Cheers

They only had a queen bed & pull-out sofa when we booked as my son was a last minute call-up for a baseball tournament in Brantford. The queen bed was very nice; the mattress was quite worn on the pull-out bed, yet my 15 year old son still got a good night's sleep on it. I reccomend spending the extra $5 for the hot breakfast buffet. Coming back to Brantford next month for another baseball tournament; will be booking here again.

I stayed here for a conference and was impressed with some things more than others. My room was fine (large actually) and the bed was quite comfortable but it was a bit "dusty", the shower curtain smelled and they skimped on the bath products (the dispenser reminds me of being at a gym and there was no conditioner or body lotion). Who doesn't provide body lotion?! And the hotel didn't really have a shop to purchase things that I didn't bring. The breakfast was fine for the price but I wouldn't describe it as generous - lots of fatty sugary choices, didn't like the communal bowl of yoghurt or cottage cheese. The conference meals were okay - some were better than others. The staff were lovely, very helpful and sincere. It was fine for the price but wouldn't stay again.

Good morning, and thank you for your feedback on our facility. We are pleased your conference selected Best Western PLUS to host their event and that you enjoyed our customer service! I am happy to hear you enjoyed your spacious room, but didn't have the opportunity to enjoy some of the amenities. All of our guest rooms have shampoo, conditioner and body wash, with a light, fresh scent. We also have a selection of items at our front desk for those who might have forgot some necessities - such as: toothpaste, toothbrushes, lotion, deodarant, etc. Our continental breakfast was designed with all dietary needs being met, I'm sorry that we weren't able to satifsy your need. Our continental includes yogurt and cottage cheese, fresh hot oatmeal, whole wheat, white and rye bread, assorted cereals, whole and skim milk, croissants and breakfast pastries, whole fruits, fruit salad and assorted fresh cut melons and so much more.

We hope you will give us the opportunity to serve you in the future. Again, thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback.

Our daughter had her wedding reception on June 9/12 at the Best Western in Brantford. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to book for a perfect wedding. We did not have to change anything at all. The room set up was decided by Rochelle and it was perfect. The bartender and the late night buffet was excellent. Aruna went above and beyond to make sure that everything was just the way we wanted. We wanted our only daughter to have the wedding that would make any bride proud and it sure did.
Thank you Best Western for everything!

We hosted a convention for approximately 150-200 people at the Best Western Plus Brant Park Inn. We couldn't have been happier with the hotel, especially the staff.
Right from the start of the planning process, Rochelle Stone (catering coordinator) was first-rate, accommodating and crucially helpful to us. Her expertise with groups is second to none. Everything fell into place and even the little hiccups were handled with ease.
The weekend of the convention was seamless. There were a few hiccups with some reservations, but everything was resolved in a timely manner. The room set-ups were a breeze thanks to amazing people like Ben, Lauren and Michael, who used the term "no problem" frequently and to our delight.
The meals were fantastic - everything was fresh, hot and there was plenty of it! Anytime we needed to make a minor change, staff were more than happy to accommodate it and they truly did address all our needs. The meals were presented on time, staff were very professional and friendly and the dessert menu was a huge hit.
The rooms were great - only a few minor complaints, such as absence of mini-fridges and carded entry devices not working properly (front desk staff always address the issues right away, but the hotel should consider replacing the card swipe devices on the doors).
The facilities were fantastic - we couldn't ask for a better ballroom, meeting rooms and all the families definitely enjoyed the pool! Having terraces and balconies was a definite asset for our group.
We couldn't have had a better experience anywhere... thank you BPI & staff for a tremendous weekend! We would highly, HIGHLY recommend BPI for any and all group bookings, business meetings, conferences, conventions or even just a family stay. You will be guaranteed huge value for your dollars and a stay that is smooth and relaxed - even under the stress of hosting a convention.
We cannot imagine surviving being hosts of such an event, if it wasn't for BPI & staff. We cannot say thank you enough, and we can't wait to have our group return in the future.

Room Tip: Physically the hotel is quite spread out... do your research to determine what your priority is for...

We spent the weekend there this past weekend for a hockey tournament.

We came across a few problems while there.

1) we booked a fridge (and even called the day before to confirm it) and had to call three times to get it (while our milk and other supplies sat out in the room)

2) when I told the front desk that they were out of towels in the pool, I overheard them complaining about the children's towel use (there were three tyke teams and families staying at the hotel as well, it was Easter weekend). They brought some down eventually but then closed the pool stating that they had to drain it because there was too much chlorine in the pool. Not true, at all... not sure what their reasoning was for closing the pool as nothing was done to the pool level at all but was not happy that they felt they needed to lie.

3) this hotel includes a continental breakfast which we were happy to find. You have to upgrade for $5 a person if you want to get meats or omelettes... one in our party upgraded and we were given the third degree at least 4 times over how many people upgraded their service. Being accused of lying is not a great experience while dining. Another family was accused of stealing a second hot breakfast.

4) some of the staff were extremely grumpy.

5) internet was shoddy at best. You got a code upon check in. It only lasted until noon the next day and you had to call for another code. The signal strength only ever got to two bars and kept crashing. If you use the office station that they have, expect to use old software on a computer that sounds like it is going to blow up. It took us 30 mins to get a permit printed off of our email.

The rooms were decent. Some in need of an upgrade.

Some of the problems were very easily fixable and some of them were just pure rudeness.

We had friends staying on the Gretzky wing (much nicer!!) and we couldn't get over to see them because our room key would not allow us.

Would I stay there again? Likely yes. Certainly this hotel is not worth the 107.00 a night that we spent.

I have stayed in much nicer for much less. This place was not happy to have us as guests.

Room Tip: Stay in the Gretzky wing.

In Brantford, the Best Western is one of the bigger properties. It does have a full service restaurant and quite a few meeting rooms. The hotel is located next to the highway which is convenient however if your room faces the highway, this is not so convenient.

Our group had rooms throughout the hotel. There is the Gretzky wing which only has suites. Suites have flat screen TVs and are larger with microwaves and small fridges. There is a large 2 bedroom family suite which is nicely done up for families. The one bedroom suites and king bed suites are okay however, some are fancier with fireplaces and better decor.

I had a standard room with 2 queen beds. The room was spacious however, the bathroom was barely 5 x 5. You cannot fit two small people in there to share the sink and for a grown, bigger adult it will definitely feel small. The tv wasn't a flat screen but an older tube one - this was disappointing. I thought the beds in the standard were a bit on the soft side giving a bit of sag (I like a firm mattress).

The light fixtures and bathroom fixtures were old and when the hotel renovated the rooms they did not replace these fixtures. Even the tiles in the small bathroom was not replaced - they are the old style small 1 inch by 1 inch tiles, probably original when the hotel was built.

The older fixtures, bathroom floor and old style tube tv did not fit in with the rest of the more newer decor of the room. This also did not add value to the rate that we paid for our standard room (just under $115 per night on the weekend - and this was a group rate).

The cold buffet breakfast that is included in your room rate is okay. There isn't a lot of selection as it is your basic cold continental breakfast that will be good enough to get you going. If you pay another $5 you get the hot buffet with the usual eggs and meats. The bonus here is the egg and omelette station where you can order an omelette or eggs any style you want. Don't forget to bring some tip money for the friendly, attentive waiting staff.

There is a small indoor pool with a hot tub and a small wading pool for toddlers. There's even a sauna too. All these are nice added touches to the hotel.

I thought Best Western could have used better quality towels that would be softer and fluffier as I found their towels hard and cheap. Lastly, it looks like the hotel has one elevator and this is not convenient at all. Although there are only 3 floors, your room might be at the other end of the hotel (mine was) which means you have a long walk.

Overall I thought this was an okay stay. Although there wasn't anything negative about my stay, there also wasn't anything that would make me want to stay here again. Having a huge standard room is a big plus, the old fixtures, bathroom flooring and tv do not impress at all.

Room Tip: If you have a suite in the Gretzky wing, ask for one that does not face the highway as those suites...

Thank you for staying with BEST WESTERN PLUS Brant Park Inn & Conference Centre and providing the feedback on your recent stay!

I am pleased to hear you were able to see most of our room types, especially our 2 bedroom family suite. It's great to know that you enjoyed the tasty food and friendly service at Kirby's Bar and Buffet.

As a BEST WESTERN PLUS, we take great pride in meeting and exceeding our guest expectations. We are currently renovating the remaining washrooms in the East Wing and will have flat screens in all guest rooms within the year.

We look forward to your return.

Happy travels,
