“LAUGHABLE”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

We stayed here for a basketball tournament and for the price I don't expect the lap of luxury but I certainly have a few expectations. It took 45 mins to check in, 1/2 hr to check out, 3 phone calls and STILL do not have a proper invoice, with the correct name/rate/billing information on it. The hotel overbooked, put someone in my room-NOT from our team and ended up charging them for BOTH of our stays. Some things are simple...hit delete and start a new invoice. The restaurant was a joke, as was the "free" continental breakfast. We couldn't have dinner before the game b/c people had been waiting 2 hrs for food and still hadn't received it. NO operational ice machines in the entire facility and they hadn't been for some time. Hair product left on the hotel hair dryer. Something disgusting and tacky on the hotel pen that I used to take orders as we had to go somewhere else to eat. NO housekeeping service over the weekend stay-as evidenced of the chicken wing that spent the weekend in our hallway. NO heat for any rooms on our floor with even numbers and I find it EXTREMELY unsettling to see that the hotel had such an insane amount of space heaters (not maintained). This place was a fire hazard waiting to happen. The door handle came off in the hand of a 4 yr old--yet another fire hazard. The bathroom floor had NOT been washed nor the room thoroughly vacuumed. ICE COLD drafts blowing in from the patio doors. Peeled wallpaper, poor repairs/patch jobs. The shower head was designed for someone under 5 feet. 1 day with NO hot water. NO hydro during the first evening and to top it off one guest woke in the morning to find blood and dried food on her sheets as though the sheets had never been washed, luckily the heat and hydro were out when she went to bed so she slept in her coat. Seriously, when this manager knew @ 2p on a Friday that rooms were without heat and the hotel was completely booked he should have 1) called an electrician/heating specialist 2) called in more staff to accomodate the restaurant/housekeeping. While he was not explicitly rude to me, I did witness him telling people not to come back, personally, he should have been standing @ the door with vouchers begging people to give it another chance and apologizing. I have stayed in MANY hotels in a variety of price ranges and some much lower than this. Losing hydro could happen to any hotel, the heat going out perhaps that could happen too, however knowing about these things and not doing something IMMEDIATELY about it....that does rest on the manager. It is almost laughable with all the things that went wrong in our teams stay. What is not is that to most of the staff...it seemed like another day at the inn and no big deal. Luckily we were spending our weekend with a great group of kids/parents and we made the best of our situation. I would strongly suggest to go to another hotel...ANY hotel!!!!

Block of rooms reserved on the 1st floor for a tourney:
No heat, needed 2 space heaters to heat room, followed by loss of power. Toe nail clipings on the carpet from previous guests. Chicken wing on the carpet in the hall ALL weekend. Hall carpets not vaccumed. Blood on sheets...from previous guests. The pool DOES NOT EVEN LOOK LIKE THE PICTURE ON THIS WEBSITE! Broken tiles on the floor, no drainnage so the water stays pooled on the deck surrounding the pool = very slippery! Had to put towels by the door & windows to stop the cold air from coming in our room. The doors that went to the hall & to the pool room were filthy...scared to touch them. NO hot water for showers. Workout room smelled like someone died in it and there was garbage all over the floor. Forgot to mention we had to go down to the dungeon to get a space heater to warm up our room. We asked for a microwave for our room...turned it on & it blew a breaker. By far the worst Hotel EVER!
THANK THE LORD FOR GOOD FRIENDS, GOOD MEMORIES........& ALCOHOL!!

I don't even want to rate this one star but it does not give me a choice! I worked in the hotel food and beverage service industry for about 13 years of my life and NEVER EVER have I seen such incompetence and lack of respect from a staff. Servers in the restaurant were awful, I actually caught the bartender badmouthing us to other customers! They were out of orange crush and rootbeer, kids pizza's and had no unbreaded wings availiable it was a KIDS hockey tournament!!!!!! They knew about this tournament for at least 2 or 3 months. The rooms were disgusting. you had hot and cold water in the shower, just not at the same time and then we lost power!!! When we went to go down to the front desk to ask when the power would be turned back on after waiting 2 hours the manager was extremley rude and their "security" guard just kept smirking at us. Honestly this is the worst experience I have ever had if you value your money and like to be treated with respect PLEASE DON'T STAY HERE!!! I could go on and on and on but looking at the rest of the reviews I don't really need to!

What a disaster weekend. Stayed here with my sons hockey team. Had dinner at the restaurant, correction we ordered dinner, waited an hour it never came we cancelled the order. Left for our game, came back to no power in several of our rooms. No power means no heat, in January! Woke up Saturday morning, no hot water. went for breakfast to find out that the complimentary breakfast was another joke. Toast & coffee. I could continue but no point just don't stay there.

We stayed at this hotel for a hockey tournament and it was a nightmare!!! We were booked for two nights Friday and Saturday and we only stayed friday because of our horrible experience. The manager Peter was a disrespectful joke.First of all the restaurant looked decent but was a dissapointment along with everything else in this hotel. Our waitress was extremely rude, they only had half the items on the menu,They should have been more prepared since they knew the hotel was sold out weeks in advance because of the tournament.when we ordered it took an hour and a half to get the food and it was under cooked. We complained but they did nothing to fix the situation so we left and table after table followed,Each table all had the same problems with the food/serviceas we did.Later friday night,We approached Peter because we had no power in our room, no heat and no hot water and there was mold all around our room.Peter said he'll fix the problems and did nothing!! At around two a.m. half the hotel complained and finally we had power in our room. Our room was still freezing and so was our shower water.Other people on our floor were having the same problems an recieved space heaters plus discounts on their rooms.I went to the front desk and spoke to peter about getting refunded or compensated for our problems and he said there was nothing he could do because we booked through expedia and laughed in my face!! Saturday we spoke to peter beacuse wern't suppose to check out until sunady but the room conditions and the way he treated us were unexceptable and unbearable, we wanted to leave and be refunded for Saturday's stay and he said no.Peter told us to get out even tho we already paid for two nights so we checked out because our whole experience was a nightmare!! The chlorine levels in the pool were way to high,we felt sick after being in the pool. This manager is a liar and useless he has no customer service skills at all! The hotel should be shut down. Please save your money and go somewhere else.

Room Tip: This place is dirty!!

This was the worst stay ive ever experienced in my life. Stayed at this hotel for a kids hockey tournament, and i wouldnt recommend anyone staying there. The restaurant Addisons was the worst service i ever endured. We waited an hour and a half for our order to be served, then once it was served it was freezing cold, and the kids food that was cooked in dirty grease. The power went out on one side of the room, and had zero heat. The pool had so much chlorine,it burned the kids skin. The shower had hot and cold water but,no warm water. It went from burning hot to freezing cold. The manager Peter Dennis had horrible customer service, and told us that he never wants us to return because we brought these complaints to his attention. Never again will we stay in this hotel.....

Room Tip: Not the Quality Inn

Recently stayed here for a hockey tournament. Hotel is dated but clean. Rooms have all you would need, big TV, desk, dresser, fridge, microwave. Pool is heated and well maintained, no hot tub. Complimentary continental breakfast, slight surcharge for full eggs and meat fare. On site restauarant and bar with pool tables and dart boards, these were a hit with the boys.
Pleasant staff. They have a party room that we used at no charge and we were allowed early check in and late check out. That part is a bonus. Perfect for large groups like sports teams where you spend a large part of your day at an arena! Priced below $100/night.

Room Tip: West wing has suites available.
